Salmon Guisado | Stew Salmon | Fish & Seafood Recipes | Chef Zee Cooks



Salmon Guisado is an amazing Dominican Fish Recipe that’s perfect for Lent or for a meatless dinner. This one pot recipe on How to Make Stew Salmon is perfect with a side of white rice, Spanish rice, tostones, yuca or more. My easy to make fish recipe is hands down one of my favorite. More importantly, I use Wild Caught Fresh Salmon which is always a plus! Don’t forget to subscribe!

Ingredients
1lb WIld Caught Fresh Salmon
1 cup Tomato Sauce
1 Onion Diced
¼ Bell Pepper Diced
¼ cup White Wine
2 tbs Olives
5 Garlic Cloves Diced
1 tbs Tomato Paste
1 tbs Fresh Cilantro
1 tsp DR Orégano
1 tsp Sugar
1 Fresh Lime
3 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
Salt to Taste
Pepper to Taste
¼ cup Water
Olive Oil

  3. It's interesting you mention the brine, my haitian friend makes alot of fish and salmon like this and he says that he washes his fish in hot water, lime juice, sea salt, and vinegar. He says it helps get rid of the albumin too, he says its traditional for haitians to do that cause it helps there be no albumin and kill bacteria. Very nice dish though! Very good amount of magnesium yum yum! You should do cuban fried fish next!

  4. I love all of your recipes / videos. I recently went to a Dominican restaurant that had a crab dish , it was almost like a sauce, they put it over the rice . Do you know what it’s called? Can you make a video of it ? Thank you . 🙂

Mrs. Ladyyyyyy I made this tonight…I’m not a huge salmon eater neither is my son besides the occasional lox and bagels…but my husband loves salmon…the only adjustments I made was that I added shrimp, potatoes, fire roasted diced tomatoes and Sauvignon Blanc and I paired it with white rice yes I’m extra but we can’t all be the same…when I tell you EVERYONE ate every last morsel we did…food is pricey and I would never urge someone else to try something that was not just plain good…it was a nice different meal for my family and I thank you for posting this 👏🏾
