No, use "Cotton Seed Oil", no matter what you fry, Cotton Seed Oil never lets you taste other foods, see Shotgun Red Youtube Channel cooking with Steve Hall!
My rule of thumb for fresh foods is if it has any fat on it, no, you don't need any oil. If it's a vegetable or a super lean meat then yes you need oil.
Like chicken with the skin on it can go straight in no oil necessary but fish needs just a super thin coating of oil to keep it from drying out. Same with vegetables.

Lies! Air fryers run on magic.
Can you recommend a good meat slicer?
Speaking of oil, I use a Misto oil sprayer with light olive oil. Propellants in Pam caused the non stick finish on my air fryer tray to chip.
I brush my food with a little oil. I also brush the air fryer when heating.
Love Lisa. She's so good.
Thanks!

Thank u
I airfry frozen fish (no breading, just the fish). I use a silicone brush and brush a light coating of avocado oil before putting into the air fryer.
I'm still learning how to use the air fryer, but it seems like a little mist of oil on breaded foods helps with browning.
I need that.
No, you don't need oil… but it tastes so much better with the oil.
