In this video, we’ll smoke a deer shoulder right alongside a classic pork shoulder and see which one comes out on top!
First, Seth expertly butchers a bone-in deer shoulder and selects a comparably sized bone-in pork shoulder. Next, we season both shoulders with our Bearded Butcher Blend Seasoning.
Finally, we head to the Yoder 640YS smoker to cook the shoulders side-by-side.

probe all the way through deer.. needs adjusted for proper temp read.. that's probably why it was so off.

The deer shoulder has more bones than the pork shoulder which is probably why it took longer to reach temp.
