I do believe we also have a Sonny’s here in Clearwater and I believe I’d it’s still here it’s just up the street from us on Belcher Rd. and mom and I hadn’t been there since before 2000 when we went with our Bible Study Pastor and his wife and I’m trying to remember if I did like their food cause I too do love BBQ for sure.👍🏻😁. If i do any kind of BBQ I like to have BBQ pulled pork cause it’s something I don’t have to pick up with my fingers.👍🏻😂😂. I just don’t like touching messy foods. But, we haven’t had my BBQ’s for sometime out cause mom usually will make her own BBQ ribs and I love the ones with the meat on the bone while my mom loves the wings which to me have no meat.     I have no knowledge of Sonny’s. Have never heard of it.

  12. I live in Florida and we love Sonny’s. They have the best sweet tea. They used to have an awesome salad bar but locations near me discontinued it when Covid started and never opened it back up. Their chicken is delicious and the ribs are my favorite. Their bbq sauces for so good. Our grocery stores in the area sell their sauces and there’s always Sonny’s bbq sauce in our frig, I put it on everything especially my fries.

  13. OMG I love Sonnys My husband and I go to Florida to visit family and we always go there to eat a few times. They have for sure changed over the years but yea they are YUMMY!!! The sliced port is my favorite. Oh my goodness we are going to have to make a trip to Florida LOL ❤Carrie

  19. We have a saying..If you want to know how clean the kitchen, check out the bathrooms. So far, for us, this is true. Also, an empty restaurant, usually says a much about the place. Your first review was nice. As you said, it'll get better. Next, maybe how long ypu had to wait to be seated.( not relavent at this place).
    The best tonyou on you and your mom's new adventure.

  22. Glad you reviewed this restaurant because we do have Sonny's in our county. So, I am glad that the food was good! I hope that you told the restaurant about the restroom appearance. A sticky floor is definitely a bad vibe. It was interesting that the restaurant was so empty. Was it the new higher prices?
    The sticky sauce bottles are also not a good sign. I like my BBq sauce already warmed on my meat!
    Would they do that for you? Glad that you mentioned the paper towels on the table. I think that they should also include a wet wipe when they bring your food. Thanks for doing this review!

  25. This was so awesome! Really fun and interesting to see what's out there, you hit on all the things I want to know before going into a new place. Service, cleanliness are major. The menue and portion sizes as well. The price is important, when I go out to eat it's usually a splurge, a special occasion. Don't go out for a meal all that often, and I'm very fussy. Though I live in very small community, when I go to a city love to try new places, and really helps to see your critique! I'd love too see these weekly. Thank you ladies. Stay safe and healthy.😊😊😊❤
