and Welcome to a Squid Recipes Special Episode of @RedSoilStories
It was a beautiful day, I had gone the sea to get some fish for the day. Our local fishermen were just back to the shore from “Rapan” ( Traditional Fishing Technique ). They have caught a variety of fishes and were sorting them as I reached there.
I got some squid fish and returned home. I gave the fish to Pooja, as Pooja is pregnant she can’t eat this fish but she will prepare it for me and mother. She told me that our neighboring aunty is giving her favorite daal for the lunch.
Pooja started cleaning the squids ( Calamari ) ( म्हाकूल ) ( माणके ) while I went to the farm. After the squid cleaning is done she started preparing Traditional Squid Curry (म्हाकूल कालवण), then she prepared a non traditional but very famous recipe called Squid Chili (म्हाकूल चिली) ( माणके चिली ). This dish is very famous in many restaurants in goa. Then she fried the squid rings.
Later I returned from the farm and I had the squid special lunch. Pooja already had her lunch.
