I just use a tea strainer poor it in an large container or jug than use the strainer again to poor in the wine glass just as easy! For red wine!
I use a mason jar and pour wine out of a box, put on a lid, and shake for a while and pour into a glass or just drink out of the jar. Saves a ton of money over young bottled wines.
This made my wine go from unbearable to amazing! Thank you SO much.

Tried both. For the first method I could see the gas when I took the top off the blender. Pouring from glass to glass was the best, even better than the aerators I usually use
It really works. I normally just 'glug' it once into a glass water jug and that is a HUGE improvement….learn't that in SE Australian! Will 'invest' in a second jug and give this idea a go 🙂
I use the pouring technique to cool off hot drinks like coffee.
Oh, we've always aerated our tea this way. It's called Teh Tarik here.
Aeration in this way really does make a huge difference that will be apparent in blind tasting. However, not everyone agrees that the difference is an improvement. I say whip out the blender and give it a go.
I would have liked to have seen what the wine looked like after the blender. I assume it went back to being crystal clear, but I wanted it to be verified visually for peace of mind.
I learned about that pitch-to-pitcher aerating technique in regards to preparing English tea. You want the water you're about to heat to be aerated so that it tastes fresher, carries the tea nuances better, etc.
If they listed every single test on their site, it would probably shut down from an overload of content or something. Everything they do, every recipe, tip, product, they test it all, and not just once, but over and over again until they find the perfect way, the perfect method. Having been subscribed to Cook's Illustrated and watched ATK for 6 years now, I know from experience; I've never had a recipe or tip from them fail.
hm. maybe. but I didn't see their blind testing of aerated vs non-aerated wine. no test listed on their site either
ATK would never post a tip if it didn't work and was just a placebo; they couldn't even if they wanted. Their taste testings, like the one they did for this tip, are blind, so if the tip didn't work, they would know.
