America’s Test Kitchen is a real 2,500 square foot test kitchen located just outside of Boston that is home to more than three dozen full-time cooks and product testers. Our mission is simple: to develop the absolute best recipes for all of your favorite foods. To do this, we test each recipe 30, 40, sometimes as many as 70 times, until we arrive at the combination of ingredients, technique, temperature, cooking time, and equipment that yields the best, most-foolproof recipe.
Each week, the cast of America’s Test Kitchen brings the recipes, testings, and tastings from Cook’s Illustrated magazine to life on our public television series. With more than 2 million viewers per episode, we are the most-watched cooking show on public television.
More than 1.3 million home cooks rely on Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country magazines to provide trusted recipes that work, honest ratings of equipment and supermarket ingredients, and kitchen tips.

So in addition to actually more hassle than just frying in, say a carbon steel pan, we can to add plastic waste. Thanks ATK!
all these work just to dry 6 leaves….NOT WORTH IT
COOL
Some of that rubbish is recycleable and you don't pour a lot of oil down the drain.
I let my dog lick my plate clean then put it back in the cupboard, looks clean to me.
Cleaning a skillet vs a plate is the only advantage I see.
And make sure the plastic wrap is microwave safe. If not printed on the box, check with the mfg.
I'm sure they passed this video into their kitchen hands 😛
A neat trick, but doesn't seem you'll save time doing that
How is this less hassle than a quick fry & wash?
Why do I need to wash the plate if it's covered in plastic wrap the whole time?
Wow ATK actually giving credit where it is due for once. I am actually impressed.
Make sure to use a plastic wrap that doesn't contain BPAs.
May I do same with lots of herbs many plates on same time?
nice, although it looks a little like a hassle.
