For your next casserole, this lasagna-like dish is a mixture of ground beef and green cabbage strips in a sweet and tangy tomato-covered sauce! If stuffed cabbage rolls are too much work for you, this deconstructed version is easy and quick to prepare for the family!

Ingredients:
1½ lb green cabbages, sliced into ½-inch strips
2 lb ground beef
3 oz red onions, chopped
3 tbsp olive oil
⅔ cup uncooked long grain rice
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
4 cups tomato sauce
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
⅓ cup brown sugar
Salt & ground black pepper to taste
To serve:
Chopped parsley

0:09 Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
0:13 In a mixing bowl, combine tomato sauce, vinegar, & sugar. Whisk until sugar has dissolved completely then set aside.
0:33 Heat up a skillet with oil over medium heat. Add beef & saute until browned.
0:50 Drain off any excess fat if there is any. Next, add the onions, rice, chili & garlic powders and continue sauteing.
1:15 Season with salt & pepper then mix to combine.
1:32 Layer half of your cabbage strips into your baking casserole then spread the meat mixture over the cabbage.
1:51 Top your casserole with the remaining cabbage strips, then pour the tomato sauce mixture.
2:07 Cover with foil, then bake in the oven for roughly 90 minutes or until fully cooked through.
2:28 Portion accordingly, & garnish roughly ¼ teaspoon of parsley. Serve while hot!
