Sweet Potato Bread recipe

Ingredients

1 large sweet potato
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup raisins
¼ cup pecan
3/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 taza de aceite vegetal

1/2 cucharadita de polvo de hornear
1/4 tazas de pasas
1/4 de taza de nuez

  1. Wow, I just made it, and it’s delicious! Thank you so much for this recipe ❣️I baked mine in a glass Pyrex square 9×12 I think; I didn’t have raisins but I had (omg) a cooked beet in the refrigerator and I diced it up in the size of raisins and tossed them in there. A few drops of orange extract too. I am thrilled with this recipe, it has a lot of versatility. Nice and fluffy, worth the try.

  2. Oh MY!! Many years ago in junior high, our wonderful lunch ladies made a dark rich brown bread made with sweet potatoes and called it Harvest Bread. I absolutely adored it! Thank you so much for posting this heavenly recipe that takes me way, way back!!
