The Thai style grilled pork skewers (Moo Ping) you see everywhere on streets in Thailand. This is the recipe you can follow easily at home and share among the family. The kids, especially, will love it for sure 🙂
It is leading with sweet then a little salty which is so good to have with sticky rice or jasmine rice.
When you buy ‘Moo Ping’ in Thailand, you’ll always see they sell bags of sticky rice with it.
To cook sticky rice, traditionally we use bamboo-steamer but there’re many other ways to cook. In a rice cooker, or if you don’t have a rice cooker, you can also cook in a microwave in just an hour (See ‘How to Cook Sticky Rice in Microwave’ : ).
Ok! Now let’s see the ingredients 🙂

– 3 tbsp. Oyster Sauce

– 1 tbsp. Corn Starch
Enjoy cooking! 🙂

No fish sauce?
I pick up 4 or 5 skewers of Moo Ping and sticky rice every time we go into Nang Rong to do some shopping. Only 40-50 baht for this great snack for the ride home.
Can i use this same marinade for chicken?
Ajinomoto 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Khao niau 5 baht , mu-ping 10 baht per piece….eat that almost every night when in Bangkok…you can sleep very good afterwards😂
Why not directly using pork belly as layers of fat for the taste will be already there between layers of lean meat when you cut it vertically ?

Memories of Bangkok. 🙂 Look forward to the better weather so I can try your recipe. I do like the fattier shoulder cuts but my wife will definitely prefer the loin.
