The best bourbons to pair with brisket, ribs, pulled pork and sausage – BBQ & Bourbon Pairing

BBQ & Bourbon are one of my favorite pairings in the world. They go together better than peanut butter & jelly. We set out to find the best bourbons to pair with the most popular smoked meats. In this case we paired brisket, ribs, pulled pork and sausage with bourbons that are obtainable. For this YouTube video we brought in Ryan Cecil, a true bourbon expert from Kentucky, to Texas. Ryan is the co-host of Bourbon Pursuit, the #1 downloaded podcast in Bourbon. Ryan is also the Master Blender at Pursuit Spirits. Ryan has grown up in the bourbon business and as he says in the video, it is in his blood. As a bonus, Ryan also makes 2 amazing whiskey cocktails in this video. A Bourbon Mojito & an Old Fashioned.

  1. sorry I can't stand bourbon, I'll take a 10 dollar bottle of canadian whiskey any day over that crap. black velvet is 100 times better than that crap. at 9:40 it proves it, you have put all of that stuff in it to make palatable. canadian whiskey all you need is 2 ice cubes.

  2. Finally got the chance to watch this one! Love that by the end, you can see all that bourbon hittin Matt. Haha! Definitely handled it better than I would. Awesome video! Love the concept! Now I gotta go find a bottle of Pursuit United!

  3. I gave a thumbs up for the content until I heard the mouth on this guy. Some of you might not care about the language, but my family and I enjoy watching this channel and when at the beginning, every other word out of Ryan's mouth is a four letter word, I absolutely have no desire to watch it. My values, and not trying to push it on anybody else. Save the language for the late night crowd or at least warn your viewers so that we can excuse the kids.
