Lisa McManus reviews kids’ oven mitts.

UPDATE: Our favorite kid’s oven mitt, the Williams Sonoma Junior Chef Oven Mitt, has been discontinued by the manufacturer, though some units remain available for purchase in stores. In its place, we now recommend the Curious Chef Child Chef Mitt Set.

  1. I love your videos, but if one is discounted, you now magically recommend one you crapped on in the beginning? We wouldn't be sad if you did the test over with more mitts and found one you really liked…

But I guess getting the video out and getting those clicks is more important. I love most of your videos and often buy what you recommend, which makes this all the more disappointing.

  2. Anyone else buy what they recommend, and it breaks in less than 6 month? I bought 2 items oxo measuring cup(loosing lettering) and Rubbermaid storage containers are cracked in less than a year. Disappointing

  3. I don’t agree that the last mitt was the correct one for that little girl. Once she had it on her hand, she struggled trying to get a hold of the sheet. What would she do with a hot sheet coming out of the oven? Not a good choice at all.
