I tried most popular pasta options to see how they impact my blood sugar. If you live with diabetes and would like to know what meal to have/or if it’s even OK to eat pasta as a diabetic this might be an interesting video for you to watch. It will help you decide what pasta to buy and what to order and in an Italian restaurant.

FACTS ABOUT DREAMFIELDS PASTA. (1) I lost 70 lb eating heaping platefuls of the stuff. Some kind of proprietary process on REAL pasta. (2) They no longer advertise it as low carb because, as we know these days, not everyone metabolizes or reacts the same. Im one of the lucky ones. It never spiked my blood sugar and I eat it to this day all the time. Tastes pretty damn normal – esp compared to all the crap like whole wheat, spaghetti squash etc. I use the linguine instead of noodles in soup.
shirki add green curry tastes great
I understand there's plenty of people who can continue to eat so-called carbohydrates. And if you can good for you, I am one of the many people who cannot and being that I'm a human being. And I am assuming you're a human being too I would strongly suggest you re-examined the question of Eating pasta, maybe you're carbohydrated. Addiction is preventing you and blinding you from the obvious, you need to stop eating it all together
Just ditch the pasta!! … Carbs do nothing more than raise blood sugar and perpetuate diabetes…. I follow a ketogenic lifestyle and my fasting blood sugar has now gone to 5.7 average…. I have lost over 20 kg and lowered my blood pressure through food and not by following the crappy diabetes plans that our governments peddle to support big pharma…. I hope soon to be off all medication…. I have never felt better. When will the medical world accept that obesity and diabetes and a host of other conditions do not need extensive medicines, but rather can be treated by low carb/ ketogenic lifestyles. I stopped following the diabetic meal plans and am curing myself through food. … Why the hell do doctors push diets that are high in carbohydrates to treat a sickness that is prolonged and worsened by glucose from high carb foods!! It's crazy
Eat meat aggs and dairy Diabetes will go away, get rid of bread pasta sugar and rice … GAME OVER
Whats wrong with Dreamfields, i love it, its very healthy….
fuck pasta!
The only pasta I use is Carbe Diem wheat pasta. It looks, tastes and cooks like regular pasta with just a slightly firmer texture. 40g carbs but 24g fiber. Simple ingredients. It's very good.
I’m a diabetic .. dammed pills the va gave me for it makes my stomach hurt so badly i thought I had stomach cancer and didn’t eat for 2 weeks .. my new thinking is every man dies but not every man lives I rather enjoy my life even if it’s cut short then suffer through life
What about Barilla protein + made with lentils chickpeas? I don't think you delved deep enough. And two ounces is the recommended serving for pastas. Great with meatballs. Eating protein with or before a carb slows down how fast your blood sugar rises as well. Not impressed by your research, just that you researched at all.
Portion control is the key to everything! I would have liked to see you eating a normal portion of spagetti with meat sauce or meatballs, a small salad and a small slice of garlic bread with olive oil or butter on it. That is the traditional meal I grew up with. Does the meat and salad help slow down the blood sugar readings? Or does it have the same effect as just spagetti with tomato sauce?
Excellent content. Thanks!
Thank u very much for ur classes .now I would like to know about maize flour .I'm high blood sugar and already suffering for neuropathy .
I use cauliflower and pour the meat sauce over it and i dont miss the pasta bc the huge cravings it causes
Thank you for testing these. I've always know about shiritake but because of your research I tried lentil pasta and edamame noodles and the glucose increase was minimal. So nice to have other options now. Thanks!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why dont you Just avoid pasta. Geez
The best pasta for diabetes is a carnivore diet.. Get it, zero pasta…
❤❤❤
I've had semolina flour pastas and i find they have an odd taste.
How about pasta made from pulses eg lentils?
I would think he has that sauce selection backwards as it pertains to blood sugar spikes. The sauces with cream, butter and fat will spike less than ones that don’t. Yes..low carb better than high carb, added sugar bad.
Pasta sauce or tomato sauce is the worst thing you can do to your body. It destroys your natural bacteria balance which regulates your immune response. Heartburn, bloating, irregular bowl movement, in serious cases eczema, and other immune disorders are caused by the weakened immune system. Diabetes itself is also a sign of weakening immune system. It may be ok when you are young and strong, but it could be seriously damaging to your health when you get older. Listen to your body, not just blindly listen to other people’s voices, because you are built different than others. Even the medicine is heading to the direction of personalized medicine, because science recognized people are built differently in micro level, not just in height, skin tone and hair color. Yes, tomato sauce might have beneficial molecules supposed to be good to your health, but context matters. If other things in it are working against its beneficial role, it doesn’t matter. I am a medicinal chemist, I know about human biology. I cured my eczema, heart burn, stomack problems myself. Doctors say eczema is not curable, so is asthma. I had both because I was destroying my biome by eating pasta with sauce for long, despite my body telling me it doesn’t like it. I started with cutting out tomato sauce completely, and listening my body and cutting or increasing things. I can eat tomato, but not the sauce. They are different. Tomato sauce is extremely acidic, which could overpower your body’s ph balance which is necessary for your body’s enzymes function properly. Tiny change in body pH can have dramatic effect on enzymes roles.
Wow, I never thought there was pasta that’s actually good for diabetes! I’m definitely going to try it. Thanks for sharing this info!
Very good tips for eating pasta. Thanks! 😊
So finally please give the list of Pastawhich are recommended.
Spaghetti squash and zoodles..
have you tried spaghetti squash? Truly the best for diabetes.
I started eating red lentil spaghetti. It’s red and takes a bit longer to cook. By itself it doesn’t taste very good, but put some sause on it and it’s just as good as normal pasta.
If you were to take a psyllium pill with your pasta meal, would that slow down/lengthen the blood sugar spike?
Wow. Please learn some table manners.
Konjak has it's uses, but you'll never use them for "mac" and cheese.
pasta is my all time favorite because its versatile and its very pleasing to slurp it down unlike any other type of foods. but my blood sugar spikes. i am pre-diabetic
I would think that Bolognese (meat sauce) would be best with pasta because of the fat and protein, but i haven't tasted it.
"resistant starch" is a myth. No tests have supported it.
I’m learning. I have always been aware of the difference of freshly cooked to leftover in terms of pasta. Never really liked leftover. Guess some or none for blood sugar… makes the choice very easy. Thank you. I’m devastated by the loss of my beloved pasta…Nerano..
When I find myself going back to my old patterns I just watch your videos and get so inspired all over again. You are amazing, and I truly appreciate all you do
lol this platform is pure comedy
Its like offering an Alky beer instead of wine for their problem
Fun fact , in 1900 heart issues all around the world were very rare
roll on 2025 and its now a Trillion Dollar Business, why is that??
I am an extremely insulin resistant type 2 diabetic. Any person with any type of diabetes should eat like this! Thank you!
Have you tried a keto or carnivore pasta? Net carbs are fairly meaningless because even fiber are carbs. My insulin resistance doesn’t seem to care much at all.
The best pasta for dianetes is called steak.
What about egg noodles for a substitute for pasta? That's what I've been using.
Thank you for this. I've been type 2 diabetic for 30 years now – sometimes I'm careful of what I eat, sometimes not so much. I get frustrated trying to find something to eat that won't spike me into oblivion. Every body will react differently so lots of ongoing testing. What was fine one time might spike me the next time. I do know that whole grain pasta will spike me higher than regular pasta so I do avoid it altogether. What I've found is if I want pasta, there has to be a high protein sauce to go with it, then there has to be twice as much sauce as pasta, not to mention a low carb sauce that I either make myself or get Rao's sauce, although making my own tends to work better. I don't eat pasta that often but this is the formula I follow when I just have to have it.
Best video ❤
The best pasta is no pasta for diabetic
