Late July nacho cheese flavor!!
ATK should avoid picking tortilla chips and salsa brands. You have no clue about Mexican food. So many of your taste testing have such a northeaster bias.
TacoWorks from San Luis Obispo is the best.
Juanantonio’s! And it’s not even up for discussion
Mission is a winner for me because their tortilla chips have more of a slightly toasted corn flavor that I don't get from any of the other brands I tasted (including your winner). They also hold up in generous dip passes.
The best, imo, is On the Border.
Blew it with the Juanita’s, who are these taste testers and crowd that is so out of wack
My personal favorite is Santita's. Haven't tried Juanita's yet.
Aldi"s corn chips are suprisingly good
Juanita’s. The tortilla chip for those of us who actually eat actual Mexican food often.
On the Border are our favorite. 👍🇺🇸
IMO all store bought tortilla chips are poor because they are under salted … they're dry and bland.
Totally disagree with your results… Makes me wonder if your survey was biased towards New Englanders… In Texas, we have much better salsas and they tend to be less "chunky" when fresh so don't need as sturdy a chip while in your test I saw only chunky salsa… My favorite major brand is Siete's but the Late July works for me too while the ones you like are thick chips… Again, I sense a bias…
Probably 50 million people in Mexico make chips by cutting a stack of tortillas into six equal segments with a knife and then frying them in oil. I do this without having been trained by anyone. I use a wok though. In Mexico they would use lard, but in this case one might want to use a healthier oil even though it doesn't taste as good.
👍🏻
The problem with tortilla chips is the amount of salt that they use. It is insane in most brands.
I'll go with the Tostitos Cantina chips! Light, Flaky, crispy. Don't need Salsa.

Campbells soup should stick to soups.
Wonder if he squeezed the chip extra hard to make it break.
This is a weird segment: Mission isn't shown at the beginning but then comes in third; and there's four bags of chips that aren't even discussed. My personal favorite is Mission (triangle shape) followed by Juanitas and then Tortitos (I like to change it up since I eat tortilla chips often)
After seeing your recipe, I feel like eating food. Don't forget to put on the khal!///////////////
Yeah I’m with a lot of people here. Juanita’s are the best I’ve ever had. I’m lucky, they are local for me. With I could find their tortillas.
If possible, the best tortilla chips are the ones made locally. In Atlanta it's Ole brand. When I lived in Denver it was La Favorita.
Thanks guys
I guess if the chip is only a vessel to transport the max amount of dip, but if thats the case, you might as well just use a spoon.
Homemade tortilla chips get my vote!!
