He cut the pizza the wrong way. You're supposed to start in the middle and go out so that you don't crush the crust. Thank you.
Can this be done on a baking sheet ?
1 cup of water/11 oz. flour…. no…. 8 fl.oz/11 oz. ….almost… just use grams?
I know we are supposed to be here for the recipe, which is an amazingly and wonderfully detailed tutorial. However, Dan is so handsome and has such a calming, melodic voice, that it's hard to separate the hot man from the recipe demo. 7:55 – I rest my case.
WOW excellent trick with microwaving the vegies
Well, my dough that's been in the fridge for 3 weeks should be a total flavor bomb! (JK: I assume it won't even rise.)
Yes, I loved the "book it" program from Pizza Hut. Pizza was and is still one of my favorite foods to eat. Thanks, Dan for reminding me of how young I am. 😊
My grand kids have gotten those free pizzas here in Missouri in the last few years. 🙂
Finding someone in a crowd, falling in love and getting married is how gluten develops made no sense
Too much unnecessary clutter. Nonsense words that hold no value.
Really I will not even try that just BCS I don't want to watch this style of video again.
BookIt still exists!
I’m too spoiled to think of Pizza Hut as a goal. I’ve been visiting Italy every Spring for the last several years, and I was dumbfounded to discover that Italian food is utterly different (and way better) than Italian-American food. A friend from Naples visited me in New York (which arguably makes the best American pizza) and he almost gagged! He also burst out laughing when he heard “mahtzah-rella.” He said, “what is this ‘mahtzahrella?’ It is “moht-zah-rrrellllah.”
This is my favorite pizza to make! I always make at least two at a time and my friends and family request it. So easy and so delicious!
I don’t consider that thin crust. Tavern style is really thin crust. 😋
Hey Dan, the cheese isn't sticking to my pizza. Can I add 1/8 cup of non-toxic glue to the sauce to give it more tackiness?
Yummy
There is a recipe on pizzamaking by a user called xPHmgr that is identical to Pizza Hut’s pan pizza in my opinion. It includes dry milk powder, so I know that this recipe is not the same. I make it once a year in winter and it’s amazing. I use regular vegetable oil (PH isn’t using olive oil) and it’s cooked in a normal deep dish pan on top of a pizza stone that’s been preheated for about an hour. I roll out the dough to to about a 1/4”, put it in the pan on top of the oil and refrigerate overnight. PH likely doesn’t do this part, but it makes the cook easier and the dough develops a little more flavor. It’s an excellent, 100% authentic Pizza Hut pan pizza clone. The pizza in this video looks good too.
Just one comment. Hotel mattresses usually suck no matter how nice the place is.
You should have worn a “Book It!” button for this!
BOOKS! Check 'em out!
Damn, I had no idea Trailer Park Supervisor Jim Lahey was the inventor of Pizza
The great thing about Book It is that it's on the honor system, so…well, I'll let you work that part out.
No non-toxic glue needed? 😮
They need to bring back .. Book it … so many kids don’t read much .. they are swiping screens .
One of my kid read and they other is like his dad …very little almost nil reading … fast forward adults at age 30 , the reader one is climbing fast on the corporate ladder . It makes a difference… he can communicate very well , written and verbal.
I am sure if my non reader got a free pizza …he would have read !
If you want to impress let’s see an attempt at NY style pizza. The whole Digiorno, Little Ceasars or Pizza Hut disappointment like this
To level up this recipe, use a sourdough pizza dough. The trick is to put the cheese wall on (pepper jack FTW), but not the rest of the toppings, then bake for 10 minutes or so, then add the mozzarella and other toppings. This keeps the crust from getting soggy because all that cheese acts like a moisture barrier . I like grape tomatoes, halved pole to pole, onion and some diced bell pepper on . If you know the brand of bread flour Dan showed at the start of the video, you know where to search for the sourdough pizza crust recipe. Dan has a video showing you how to make you own sourdough starter too. It's on this channel, just search it.
