EASY Homemade Pie Crust Recipe:

Ingredients for Homemade Apple Pie:

►6-7 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored  (2 1/4 lbs or 7 cups thinly sliced)
►1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
►8 Tbsp unsalted butter
►3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
►1/4 cup of water
►1 cup granulated sugar
►1 egg + 1 Tbsp water, for egg wash

Ingredients for Butter Pie Crust Dough Recipe:
►2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour plus more to dust, *measured correctly
►1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
►1/2 tsp sea salt
►1/2 lb COLD unsalted butter (2 sticks) diced into 1/4″ pieces
►6 Tbsp ice water (6 to 7 Tbsp)

  1. I just watched this from my email. I'm amazed at how beautiful yr pie looks, the edges aren't even burnt like most pies get. I always put foil on my edges to keep them golden brown but you didn't have to do that. 🤔
    I'm gonna make this this Christmas. The sauce looks divine. I need to get yr pie dough recipe next.
    I think I'm gonna buy yr cookbook as a Christmas gift to myself. 🤗

  2. my first time making an apple pie. This recipe is on 🎯 point. I just used a couple of drops of vanilla extract. Also brushed a little egg wash on the inside of the pie before putting the apples in. 💯👍🏾 375 for 50-60 minutes.

  3. I have a question. My oven is old and I can only control wether it heats from the top or the bottom. I can't control and see the temperature. I bought an external oven thermometer which really helped, but the heat is too strong when I turn on both top and bottom heat.

    Would it be okay to bake 7 minutes on the top and 7 minutes on the bottom with both being 475°F? I sadly have to open the oven door if I want to reduce the temperature to 350. Also sorry for my bad English haha
