This has been my midnight snack since I was 4 years old! My great-grandmother made it for us! But she would grate fresh pecorino cheese on top! Sometimes she would even add a tiny bit of lemon zest, or a Quick Squeeze of a lemon on top! So good and it settled our tummies when we were sick!

It's a midnight snack because usually it's served at midnight for weddings, and it's called "spaghettata serale". When I worked in Italy as a restaurant server, after 14 hours of walking around from morning to night, one plate of aglio olio pepperoncino is the best thing you can eat.
