  1. My late grandpa used to grow beets in our backyard. No problem until he started to cook them and to me it just smelled like dirt, and I could never imagine eating them. However, now I'm willing to try some beet recipes based on this video 🙂

    I’ve had beets raw, pickled, cooked savoury, sweet, grated and put in stuff, roasted etc etc etc….
    I actually had two main veggies I couldn’t tolerate since youth, this and cauliflower- I’ve come to love the cauliflower but the beet…
    Defeat!
    I get one main flavor note: dirt.
    This is from someone who’s come to love stuff like Natto…
