Normally a less expensive cut of meat, but when cooked properly, belly of pork is a soft as any meat. This slow cooker pork belly recipe really helps the meat become so soft that it flakes as soon as you touch it. The simple spices and an aromatic flavour to the pork belly, to make this a perfect dish for the slow cooker.
We served ours with Stir Fry Veg and Edamame beans, using some of the juices from the bottom of the slow cooker to essentially steam it with the flavours that have been caught from the pork, onions and spices.
Slow Cooker in the Video:
Serves: 3 – 4
Cooking Time: 7 Hours
Setting: LOW
500g Pork Belly Slices
2 White Onions
2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
1 Teaspoon of Ginger
1 Teaspoon of Garlic
1 Cinnamon stick
2 Star Anise
6 Cloves

This is a great recipe. I've done this twice now and has been huge success each time. The flavor gets right into the meat and the fat renders down nicely. Highly recommend.
