Honey is low GI. It's perfect for diabetics, instead of sugar.
These look fantastic! I can't wait to try them! I'm not hung up on the 15 minute time limit, but I do like the three relatively simple dishes at once format.
now that being said, maybe some folks would like to know how to rotisserie a whole chicken. i know in texas chickens are cheap. whole chickens were sold as cheap as $3 pre-pandemic. for my jambalaya i used to boil it. that was 15 years ago. id love to learn how to 'rotisserie' the whole chicken without a special oven. cheers
he's a professional chef, people. I mean, c'mon cut him some slack on the time, factor. I think its bad ass that he does these timed videos. use your head. his recipes taste fantastic. its not the destination;. its the journey.
I made the creamy sun dried tomatoes pasta tonight and my family love it so much. All of your recipes turned out so good and very easy to follow. Thank you
A great compromise for those to learn how to chop and prep ingredients is to do a chopping and prepping 101 video where that's all you do. Some people are still learning how to chop Vegetables correctly etc.
Seems easier to use hands or tools than gloves and less wasteful.
I made your chicken salad recipe. OMG. It is now my go-to recipe. I will 100% be making this again and again. Thank you for the recipe and for your videos!
Can we see more stir fry type meals please? Also traditional dishes are great.
Very nice.
Gorgeous, all of them! This is right up my ol alley! Make all three over next couple weeks.
PS, I’ll be adding a jar of chopped, marinated artichoke hearts to the creamy chicken pasta (Mary Me) dish. ❤❤❤
And a half a chopped avocado to the rice bowl.
Agree on the marry me recipes!
This is the first video I've seen on this channel that isn't relaxing. I was on edge the whole time.
Jim, I am also an Italian American & enjoy the kitchen rants & banter! I recently read a passage that tells it all “I have the right to remain silent but being Italian I don’t have the ability” Yep, I’m so guilty! So, never apologize for your open comments! Ciao 🇮🇹🍷
The Tex-Mex bowl looked superb.
Honey is not "just sugar". Ask an Indian friend, or consult "Ayurveda".
Love using the rubber gloves it makes handling meats so much easier and then just throw away when done. Have them in my kitchen all the time.
Yummy recipes! My mom used to use Miracle Whip in her chicken salad to get that sweet/tart flavor.
We are loving these! I made the spaghetti meat sauce, shrimp arriabbiata, and sun-dried tomato pasta so far. All very easy and really good. Next I'm making the NY deli tuna salad. I can't tell you what a difference your channel has made for me.
You’re so right about the Costco rotisserie chicken. My local grocery stores sell them but they’re tiny at twice the price and half the flavor.
The salad looks great!
You are wonderful! This helps me so very much. I’m chronically ill so I can’t do elaborate meals too often. I love all your de pies and the family does a happy dan e when I do your recipes, especially the past recipes! Thanks Shay’s c again. I always share your recipes too! I also pin them to my Pinterest. boards.
Similar to my recipe however I dont use onions as i am allergic. I add dill pickle relish and tarragon vinegar, no nuts. Serve on leaf lettuce and sprinkle with sunflower seeds.
The Costco by me in Monmouth County, NJ, has rotisserie chickens for $5 and nearly 3lb packages of pulled rotisserie meat for about $18. Cheaper if you pull your own, but the convenience of that much chicken at your disposal when you need it is great.
🌈🌈🦋🦋 sent the link to my 22yr old son again.
I like that your taste tester is James, now a teen. It assures me that my grandkids will like these dishes, too, especially the bowl! Thank you.
Where can you buy the beat rotisserie chicken thats done in the middle most are not cooked
These all look great!
Made the Creamy Sundried Tomato Pasta tonight – was a total hit! Added half an onion (sliced) at the beginning just before the garlic, used parmesan reggiano (because thats what I had on hand), and a touch more red pepper flakes. Also, I hit Costco just before closing so they were out of rotisserie chickens. I was able a grab the 2lb bag of pieced chicken they have in the back deli area, used half. Quick and tasty -this will totally be in the rotation.
I have been making this dish in quite a few variations for years. It’s so yummy with an Italian sausage, or I sometimes add mushrooms or zucchini and no meat at all. I only use cheese and no cream or white wine only because I don’t usually have those ingredients on hand.
Yep, I agree that I really like the 15 minute videos. Even though we're retired we don't like to spend a lot of time preparing the supper meal more than 2 or 3 days a week. A few stir fry dishes would be interesting. Those seem to go over well at our house especially when the kids come over. The boxed "instant" rice seems to work well and doesn't taste much different. And continue to do the prep ahead of time for these 15 minute dishes.
Can you make a meal for unexpected company that has shelf stable ingredients?
Nope: more cilantro = more water = runnier.
Loves these videos, what about making eggplant roll up’s? It was one of your early videos I thought it was fast.
a closet full of a de cecco and pre grated Locatelli. what do you live in a fantasy land?? 🤣
This was really fun and informative to watch!!
Great video. Love your recipes. It’s too bad you to have to keep defending yourself from wearing gloves or adding sugar, etc. Wish people would just enjoy what you’re showing us.
What about the wee knights?
Your time on these recipes is probably 1 minute shorter because you stop a lot to explain stuff to us. Lol.
Liked this video better. Jim was much more relaxed. 😊
I’m so glad you wear gloves! I cook with gloves because I have crazy hot hands, and I have never liked getting my hands messy.
Instead of sugar, I use sweet pickle relish in my chicken salad. Gives it the sweet with a little extra crunch.
Too much anxiety….I cook because I enjoy it! This gives me stomach pain!
Love these recipes! Keep them coming. We are definitely using the pasta chicken one! You and Tara are too funny and we love the sound horn ! Love that James is still your taste tester.❤
