4 Chilli Padi
4 Clove Garlic
2 tbsp Cooking oil
200g Minced Pork
1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Fish Sauce
1/2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Water
1/2 cup long Beans
1/2 cup Thai Holy Basil
Fried Egg

  1. Okay so as someone who’s broke with some but not all ingredients: chili and garlic, fried egg, pork, soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, sesame oil, and peas..? Could I get away with a broke American teacher salary version of it like this?

  5. For thai people that long bean is making most of us rolling eye. Famous Thai youtuber even making a parody song to mock the phad kra pao with long bean in it (also shallot carrot broccoli lettuce and the one people most mistaken is basil yeah the one they used on pizza)

  7. "Authentic" -> Puts beans.

    I don't know if adding chilli and garlic at the start is authentic, but I know that putting chilli at the start is essentially killing the fresh and beautiful flavour of the chilli. Adding it right at the end of a hot pan full of properly sautéed chicken is faaaaar better.

    Also way too much fish sauce, no pinch of brown sugar in sight.
