A pair of tongs
Well thought out list. I use all but one you mentioned. I've found wadding up a couple of pieces of newspaper and positioning them under the charcoal chimney works just fine in lieu of the wax starter cubes.
I only take grilling advice from someone who looks like they have eaten well. There are no skinny grill masters.
Thank you. Nice job, I was searching for a list, especially the different type of gloves.
Finally! Finally, I found someone who can teach beginners, and do it well.
Great list. I have a few must have items I use every time I BBQ. Mid size tongs, a work table nearby to hold accessories, plates, etc… and a cooler of bud light!
Great video! I suggest a FIRE EXTINGUISHER also Hand sanitizer, I would not start a bbq pit with out a blue tooth speaker. Thanks
I don’t need gloves to pull my pork I like the natural feel
Why is it such a bad thing to use lighter fluid? I pour it all over and chuck in a match
Thank you sir, this came in handy.
No "career" for me, but i do want a box to store my tools and stuff for BBQ.
Thank you sir!
No need for a thermometer, bbq is about knowing what your doing
Awesome! Thanks!
Myron Mixon always used lighter fuel…
Great top ten tools list, Thanks
I am getting ready to start my charcoal grill adventure. This helped me a lot. I sure do appreciate you taking the time. Blessings from Gettysburg
I love grilling
What size are your Nitrile Gloves & Glove Liners?? U said in your video that u use 5mil Nitrile Gloves ; but can u find r buy a 7mil Nitrile Glove?? If so what's better 5mil r 7mil??
Argh, intro music is WAY LOUDER THAN the rest of your video, way to loud for me. Great content though.
At 3:34 I think he meant 5 mils not millimetres
Great video… Maybe tongs to add charcoal/wood?
What kind of offset grill do you have. I like it.
I loved the way you explained for beginners. it helped me a lot. thanks chummer
Regards
Randy
No tongs or spatulas needed
Good channel keep it up
no links to heat resistant gloves as promised in the video?
Digital meat and ambient temp probes are NOT needed. Franklin cooks 105 briskets + everything else with neither of those. If he can do it, you can too. You know how long the food takes to cook. Just watch the clock and poke your food with your Thermopen when it starts getting to that time. I also noticed that when I had a digital probe I started obsessing over the temp. It's much more relaxing without it. Get a Tel Tru analog gauge for your door to give you an idea of where your temp is, watch the clock and poke your food on occasion. That's what every top BBQ joint in Texas does and they cook hundreds of pounds of food a day.
BBQ is NOT cooked to temp. Chicken is the only thing cooked to temp. Everything else is cooked by feel. Thermopens are nice though and a good tool.
DO use lighter fluid. It smells like 1980s backyard grilling days and increases testosterone levels to 1980s levels too. Thats why we have soy boys running around with skinny jeans now. Low T due to using wax lighter cubes.
Please let everyone know what are your top "must have" BBQ tools. This is my list, but I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks. What did I get right? What tools did I miss? Thanks for the feedback!
