Its called "Yalancı Mantı" which translates as "fake mantı" as the ingredients are pretty much identical to Mantı except its done with pasta instead of dumplings. It is probably my all time favorite dish.
Yeah when your meat gets brown dont stop there and add some tomato paste(salça) and some tomayo juice and close it up. We all make the yalancı mantı in turkiye like this
Adding lemon on the yogurt is good point! Because I donât that most of the countries have sugary yogurts. Even if the yogurt doesnât have fruit etc. But in turkey we have sour yogurts. If you add lemon on yogurt which doesnât turkish you canât catch Turkish taste but it would be closer.
This is called âyalancı Mantıâ, (Fake Mantı). Ground beef and butter is optional. As the tomato sauce and garlic yogurt really enhance the flavor. This is something my mom would make coming home from work on days she didnât have something prepared in the fridge. Itâs quick, filling and delicious đ€€
I recommend adding dried mint to the butter for the sauce. We call this lazy woman, new bride or student manti because for real manti, you need to prepare the dough by hand.
This dish doesnât have an official name; we simply call it afghani pasta. Itâs simple meal that weâve been eating for a long time in Afghanistan. It has been around for years, so itâs also considered an Afghan dish just like how Turkish people eat this cuz itâs a simple version of manti and (mento and ashak )=afghani food
