  1. You're the first person I've ever seen that made a Bubba Burger actually look really REALLY good. Anytime I've had one that someone else has cooked it's coal black and crunchy on the outside, dark grey and dry on the inside. Well done! (No pun intended) Just bought this grill based on this video…and I'm not kidding.

  2. I have had this grill for well over 12 years. Used for camping, the first thing a did was to remove all 3 handles, replacing the lid handle with a Weber screw on handle with a heat guard. I love to grill on this Weber, once grilling is over it makes a convenient fire pit.

  3. I've had this grill for years. Its a great direct fire portable grill. I also have the jumbo joe and its great for indirect cooking. I can cook a whole rack of spare ribs indirectly on the jumbo joe. The jumbo joe is the better portable grill and the one that comes camping with me. The go anywhere does have its place though. It fits nicely in my storage compartment of my semi and i take it with me on the road. Easy for steaks, burgers and brats.

  4. This was my first weber. I bought it maybe 15 years ago. Still takes it camping but a couple of weeks ago I bought the Q1200 on a trip due to very dry weather and didn't want to send sparks in to the woods from emptying the chimney starter. Always a reason to get a new weber ☺

  5. I have this charcoal grill no negative reviews for me it’s sweet handy little grill…I do bacon 🥓 wrapped fillet mignon, grilled asparagus, potatoes and onions too.I’ve yet to do fish on wood plank or indirect cooking yet but I’m happy with this grill!!!😊

  6. I had the propane one back in 2018 when I was in the oil fields.. when we had to shut down for a few hours I'll start to grill it. But I didn't like the grease hitting the fire burners and it looks like shit when I was done .. lmao that in any propane grill not a flattop!! So I just stick to wood or charcoal and best bet for flavor

  7. I own the grill. It's good, but not as good as Jumbo Joe. I find the Go-Anywhere has uneven heat and the coals are too close to the grill. I wonder if the grate from the gas version fits the charcoal version..

  8. About to go to France for 4 weeks…we always take our Q 1200, but this time we’re going to take our GA and be bothered to use charcoal!
I have the gas version of this which is pretty neat, but if you’re going gas then you can’t beat the Q.
I’ve bought a riser for the GA to do some indirect cooking as well, so France here we come. Keep on grillin’ indeed 👍🏻

  9. I had one of these grills but must have given it away because it's nowhere to be found. There's a company in New Zealand that makes all kinds of interesting accessories for this grill to allow you to smoke or rotisserie with it and they ship to USA. I definitely like it better than the current version of the Smokey Joe because the air intake vents on that grill are above the level of charcoal so air flow isn't ideal. Thanks for another great video. I always want to fire up a grill after watching your channel.

  10. Hey Brian,

thanks for another awesome video. I really like your style of presentation.

One thing I wonder a little about. You said, that the Go Anywhere might be better than the regular Smokey Joe. I am wondering why and I would appreciate it much, if you would explain me why that is your conclusion.

I have like 5 different SJ with different colors in my collection and as well a GA which is still sitting in its unopened box.

When it comes to tailgating I mostly use the Q1000 or Q1200.

Fun fact: last tailgate party I showed up with the 22 1/2 inch performer 😂

Take care and thanks as always for your fantastic videos

    Dee

  11. I also have such a GA charcoal. I love this grill, especially on vacation.
If you only want to grill quickly for 2 people, the large 57 ball remains in the shed and the small GA is taken out.
    Many greetings from Germany

  12. I normally put the Raw Pork sausage on first to cook when I turn once then the frozen burgers go on (if fresh burgers I wait a little longer cooking the pork) I would put the asparagus on after you flip the burgers to have everything come off at same time

  13. Great review. I have over the years had two of these in the propane versions. The thing I liked about them is they are easier to store in a vehicle or RV and that's important for a portable device. I always liked the idea of propane for quick easy and clean use. That said some things I like to cook ( salmon is a biggy) don't cook well on a propane grill. I might actually get one of these for this fall coastal fishing trips. FYI, I found my gopro and accessories so I'm back to watching videos showing me how to use the darn thing. Hey I'm really looking forward to seeing you do a turkey on the Kamoda. You're really going to enjoy it. Get a two probe remote thermometer so your not opening it up to often. Brian have a great day. 🌞
