📝 Ingredients:
🔸 For Marination:
✔️ 500g Basa Fish (or any available fish)
✔️ 1 tsp Salt
✔️ 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
✔️ 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
🔸 For Cooking:
✔️ 2 tbsp Butter (Use Desi Ghee for a richer flavor)
✔️ 2 Medium Onions (Finely Chopped)
✔️ 2 Medium Tomatoes (Pureed)
✔️ 2 Garlic Cloves (Crushed)
✔️ 1-inch Ginger (Grated)
✔️ 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
✔️ 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder (for color)
✔️ 1 tsp Cumin Powder
✔️ 1 tsp Coriander Powder
✔️ ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
✔️ ½ tsp Garam Masala
✔️ Fresh Coriander Leaves for garnish
🍳 Step-by-Step Cooking Process:
1️⃣ Marination of Fish
👉 Take 500g Basa fish (or any other fish of your choice).
👉 Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
👉 Mix everything well and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
2️⃣ Frying the Fish
👉 Heat 2 tbsp butter in a pan.
👉 Add the marinated fish pieces and fry on high flame until golden brown.
👉 Flip the fish and fry from both sides.
👉 Once done, take them out on a plate and set aside.
3️⃣ Preparing the Masala
👉 In the same pan, add 1 tbsp butter.
👉 Add 2 finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
👉 Add 2 crushed garlic cloves and 1-inch grated ginger.
👉 Sauté for a minute and add tomato puree.
👉 Cook until oil separates from the masala.
4️⃣ Adding Spices
👉 Add 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder, and ½ tsp garam masala.
👉 Mix everything well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
5️⃣ Adding Fish to the Masala
👉 Now, place the fried fish pieces into the masala.
👉 Add ¼ cup water if needed and cover the pan.
👉 Let it cook on low flame for 10 minutes so that the flavors get absorbed.
6️⃣ Garnishing and Serving
👉 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
