That French brand would have kicked butt on Smuckers! They should have put that up as one of the three.
Bonne Maman is the Best. Raspberry is my favorite flavor. It is better than Smuckers in my opinion.
She is sure eating a lot of jelly. Doesn't she know she only needs to take a taste. She's getting huge
Bonne Maman is quite good. I give it as gifts to customers. Maintal (From Germany) is also good. So is Gia Russa (From Italy) and D'Arbo (From Austria). Maintal is organic just like Bonne Maman. They can all be a bit pricey but those on a budget can get Mrs Bridges (From Scotland) at Trader Joe's. Mrs Bridges is far superior to Smuckers
Which they would off recommend something for diabetic friendly or cholesterol friendly well at least the best option probably neither
Testers often seem to not realize that not bright red/no food color is a GOOD thing.
This "taste test" for me was humerous on so many levels! Why taste Strawberry preserves?! Why was Smuckers #1? Watching Julia eating spoon after spoon and stirring each one, getting ribbed about it! The audience was less sweet. ROTFL!
is bonne maman that good??
There are dozens on the market but There are just a few jars on the table. Is this a paid vid by certain brands?
The story behind Bonne Maman makes me buy their brand, and I like their stuff. Incredible people like these deserve our business.
This video has been brought to you by Smuckers, makers of the world’s most yuckiest diabetes inducing gunk!!
Julia's got a facial resemblance to Hillary R. Clinton and also the hairstyle too.
Bonne Maman is obviously the best. I have no idea how smuckers won this one. Bonne Maman tastes like home made jam and the ingredient list reads like home made jam.
Smuckers is HF berry flavored paste for non discerning palates. Usually ATK is on point…this one makes me wonder if smuckers is greasing palms.
Believe it or not, the BEST strawberry spread (as well as blackberry and raspberry) I've found is GREAT VALUE brand from Wal-Mart! Only a few simple ingredients: Strawberries, Sugar, Pectin and Citric Acid. No high-fructose corn syrup and it tastes great! Not to mention cheap. I think I paid $1.83 for 17.25 oz. jar.
Bonne Mamam Rules!!!
Sunfresh Foods Inc. freezer jam
Smuckers has an “all natural “ version of their jams which matches the ingredients of Bonne Maman. Price is the same. I buy Bonne Maman for the taste.
Phooey!
I could have told you the best was Smuckers without all the falderal. Have loved it since I was a kid.
"Strawberry spread"? Jelly, jams and preserves are all different.
Jam, spread, preserves are all different so to compare is ridiculous. Compare jam to jam, preserves to preserves, spread to spread. And Bonne Mamam is by far the best, certainly over Smuckers which is typical middle class corporate food produced garbage.
Ack! Ditch the studio audience! So tacky and fake.
Q : I can't find Welch's Grape Jelly at Walmart !!!! Why ???
Winner & still undefeated, haha. The one I grew up on!
Reading all these comments though, I might need to try Bonne Maman…
1. St. Dalfour (NO added sugar) but sweet enough (French)
2. Bonne Maman (added sugar) – too sweet! (French)
3. Hero (added sugar) (Swiss)
Smuckers is rubbish.
I prefer raspberry jam (St Dalfour) and also damson jam (Bonne Maman) and absolute treat Four Fruits (St Dalfour). Also Hero blackcurrant jam. All with good quality WHITE bread toast. And of course with a hot cup of good quality tea "a drink with jam and bread" in the famous words of Julie Andrews.
I don’t care for strawberry jellies, jams, etc, but the Bonne Maman Four Fruits Préserves are delicious and are also great in Baked Brie!! Yummy!
Fresh is the only way to eat strawberries, IMO! And Louisiana strawberries are the world’s best👍❣️
Bonne Maman!! Smucker's has a chemical taste. They must be paying ATK for their great review/rating.
Lot of Bonne Maman fans whining their favorite didn't win. I'm not, if for no other reason than I've never heard of it. From the comments I would probably never eat it either. I avoid the super high priced pretentious brands. Double or triple the price for 10% better flavor, not worth it. I like Smuckers, it's always a safe choice. Right now we have Aldi's house brand in the fridge, pretty good and very inexpensive.
Since I only eat sugar free jelly or jams, I like Smuckers sugar free stawberry and blackberry.
Smucker’s?! Gross! 🤮 That crap has HFCS, corn syrup, plus sugar. Julia’s lost credibility with me.
Fage 2% plain yogurt with Bonne Maman cherry preserves stirred in. Healthy treat for the grandkids. 🙂
She was enjoying those samples a little too much.
My favorite strawberry jam hands down is the frozen strawberry jam made with liquid pectin. The recipe is in the Ball Canning Company blue book. Bright and delicious! I think in any jam, the big difference is using real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup.
D'Arbo and Bonne Maman are the best. Smuckers is good too
