The original Thai Sriracha has a different taste profile and is soooo much better. Definitely worth a try if you find it.
I discovered sriracha (Huy fong) in the mall probably 13 years ago eating chicken teriyaki and rice.. and Ive loved it every since then… I really like when I get a really hot bottle.
I need sriracha alternatives
I’ve been enjoying Sriracha sauce since the 1970s.
I replaced the rooster with kikoman a number of years ago for the same reason the host`s stated, the rooster is simply not hot enough.Kikoman kicks.
Nooooooo Way … I don't want SUGAR in my Hot Sauce (Yuck)!!! I guess the best part is you all are not consuming GMO Corn Syrup red paste!
Naw they tripping there is good alternatives to rooster but Kikkoman SUCKS
Flying Goose is the best by a mile.
PEOPLE! Please try the original Sriracha on pizza if you haven't already! It's beyond delicious!
There’s only one, Huy Fong.
The OG is the best for me. Havent really tried the others because why mess with delicousness?
The rooster has been my go to but I do often want a more spicy taste depending on what I’m eating so I’m glad there is one that is similar but hotter to try but I agree with other commenters about the history of rooster and I’ll probably still mainly buy that one because of the history. It’s kind of a silent way to support a success story in America and that’s hard to do these days!
Huy Fong is a bit sweet, but Kikkoman is too hot (and I like heat). As such, I use both – about 75-25 to lower sweetness and ratchet up the heat.
Louisiana Hot Sauce is miles better than Tobasco.
Why does he never look at the camera lol
the Aldi one is actually really good, and cheap
Huy Fong is the best, but can't buy it in Europe anymore. Sriracha is the best sauce overall but the knock-offs are usually not very good, and almost always too sweet.
Been having original Sriracha in thailand for years before coming to the states. The rooster brand is a good substitute because it's so hard to find the original brand from Thailand 😂😂😂
The actual Sriracha sauces, ones made in Thailand specifically from a coastal province of Cholburi, is smooth and watery with milder spice and more flavors.
Those and Vietnamese ones are made for different proposes though. The Thai ones work more like cocktail sauce and are great for seafood and fried egg dishes. The Vietnamese ones work more like ketchup which is great for American food like hot dog and pizza.
Lancaster is the only thickness indeed! Not letting the back of that apron go to waste..
I like the Lee Kum Kee. It has a Umami note to it
They should have compared it to real Sriracha from Thailand
Get the most delicious, sriracha , the original one from Thailand!
The rooster brand taste nothing like original Thai sriracha.
There are countless smaller brands too these days and we should try them all.
As long as I don't have to live next door to any of them, they're fine.
Huy Fong is the best!
TRY TIGER SAUCE! GREAT STUFF! 🐯🐯🐯👑👑👑
White rice is far from the best anti-spice solution. He should've given her lime simple syrup
Gotta say I was let down by the Kikkoman brand. Went out and bought it after watching this video. Huy Fongs taste so much brighter and better than it. I didn't really notice an increase in heat. I wish they were all hotter. One thing I've noticed about is that it goes bad quickly and taste better the fresher it is.
Until about 10 years ago…..ummm, I was eating this in 1995!
Here's some sad news about Huy Fong's manufacturing & legal problems, and why the sauce's taste changed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM_oPEK5eZE
Sriracha? New comer?
Rechecks date of upload…
Have I switched time lines???
I was buying Sriracha Panich on amazon until recently, but the price is now double what it was last year and it's hard to justify that expense. It's a bummer because it's the true "original" that Huy Fong is a knockoff of and has imo a much better flavor profile.
You need to try Yellowbird Agave Sriracha.
Guess they don’t own the name.
Not a fan of the Rooster. Tastes of poor quality garlic and maybe too much garlic and it’s not hot enough for me. Recently found Hot Chili Sauce by Cholimax Foods which I really like.
3 mountain brand is the best. It's the original Sri racha province recipe made in Sriracha from peppers grown in Sriracha. It's green or yellow not red. You can find it at ethnic asian stores. Rooster brand guy tried to patent the name and steal it forever but Sriracha stopped him because you can't patent a city name with an unofficial recipe.
Huy Fong hasnt been really any good since they lost their original pepper supplier. Completely different taste now. The Texas Pete srirachacha and yellowbird blue agave sriracha are my favs now.
Do not want the sweet. Keep your sriacha.
Considering Sriracha is originally from Thailand it’s weird that you didn’t include any real original sauces from Thailand. Just acted as though Americans invented sriracha originally.
They didn’t test it here but the Tabasco one is my winner 🤷🏽♀️
