My blackstone tends to run very hot. I keep the burners about 1/4 then adjust later in the cook as needed.
Keep a spare propane tank.

Why is the bacon grey?
I’m guessing the run to Lowe’s is for propane. Do you know that the exchange tanks don’t come “full” they are actually only filled with 4 gallons of propane instead of 5 that the tanks can hold.
Do yourself a favor. Find a propane filling station. You’ll pay less and get more propane. Gas station, or hardware stores will often fill your tank.
I only “exchange” cylinders at Lowe’s when mine expires (every 5 years).
