Works with ANY Noodles! The PERFECT Chicken Chow Mein Recipe 豉油皇炒鸡面 Stir Fry Soy Sauce Noodles

There seemed to be a confusion between what is Chow Mein and Lo Mein. This Soy Sauce Noodles with Chicken is definitely Chow Mein. Chow mein is basically stir fried noodles whereas lo mein is cooked noodles tossed in sauce (without heat). Whichever name you’re using to call this, it doesn’t matter. Just know that this soy sauce noodles with chicken recipe is really easy and fast to recreate 🙂 These noodles taste best when hot so try not to leave them out for too long before serving. Happy cooking!

  1. I like the fact all your dishes are easy to make just like from fast food take-out asian kiosks. Some channels they think they are pro-chefs and take 30-40 minutes. Annoying. lol.

  3. Well–I thought I was making this Chow Mein recipe, but I put in onions, some pieces of mushrooms, some (canned) mixed vegetables, garlic, chicken. I didn't have the noodles, but had gotten some La Choy dried noodles, which we heated up in the oven a little bit. Oh, there were some tiny sticks of ginger in it, as well. Didn't look anything like your recipe, though it was delicious. I think I just invented a totally different Asian (?) dish. It was swimming in sauce that didn't thicken because there was too much of it and I didn't have the soft noodles to soak it up. I thought this would give some people a good laugh. I ate my whole bowl of food and drank what was left of the "sauce" in my bowl. It was really good, but I don't think a real Asian would like it. I had left over mushrooms, onions, ginger and the mixed vegetables (Water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, baby corn, bean sprouts and I forget what else may have been in the mix) My husband and I both really liked the food!!! The sauce and marinade for the chicken saved the day and it's really good. I don't know what that says about us–probably that is proof we are not Asian! LOL! The chicken was so flavorful and tender. Thankfully, we had a good meal to eat, as we were both really hungry…

  4. Wow I can taste this through the screen! This reminds me of my grandma's simple stir fried noodles 🙂 She always cooks it with pork, but I guess any protein works fine!

  5. Why is it that when I order Shrimp Chow Mein from a Chinese restaurant, it has no Chow Mein noodles in it. I asked the owner why the menu Chow Mein has no noodles? He says that it only contains protein , veggies and sauce. I have to order Lo Mein if I want noodles. I'm confused.

  6. Do you have a seafood dish I can do with Bok Choy, oyster sauce, peanut sauce, soy, sesame oil or peanut oil, saracha…. I've been collecting ingredients to cook something Chinese b/c I love the foods so much!

  7. I am actually making this as a surprise for dinner for my family and I and I just loveeeee these noodles I have tried them before and this is my first time making it and I am a child

  8. Can you use fish sauce instead of oyster? Would it spoil the flavour too much? I'll get some oyster sauce as I don't have any right now, but as I have some fish sauce, just wondered if it would be ok

  9. Wow, awesome recipe! I left the chicken marinade for a bit longer because I had stuff to do, no kidding :this is the best chicken I ever made! Soooo tender, mind blown. Now I don't hate chicken breast anymore. Thanks a thousand times my friend!

  10. This recipe is fabulous. Anyone can cook as very easy and quick recipe, just need to have ingredients handy. My son started eating noodles recently and he enjoyed it as much as me and my husband did. Just added green chillies for little spicy kick. Going to make it again soon for my mother in law and father in law too. Thanks again for the recipe. ❤️ 🙏🏼
