  2. I made this cake yesterday and the taste was amazing, but it turned out dry like corn bread, every one loved it but I wanted it to turn out moist. I followed the steps to a T the only thing that I can think of is my oven? I baked it at 365 F. for like 1 hour because it was not browning on top, our oven is not that great ( its fairly new) but it works at a lower temp. Than other ovens. Help plz!!

  3. Ingredients:
    * Peeled almonds (topping)
    * 1 large egg
    * 100g or ½ cup sugar
    * 150g or ½ cup yogurt
    * 80ml or ⅓ cup oil
    * 1g or a pinch salt
    * 5ml or 1 tsp vanilla essence
    * 190g or 1 cup semolina flour
    * 4g or 1 tsp baking powder
    * 40g or ½ cup desiccated coconut
    * More desiccated coconut and chopped pistachios for garnishing
    Syrup:
    * 250ml or 1 cup water
    * 160g or ¾ cup sugar
    * 2.5ml or ½ tsp lemon juice

    » Use an oiled 18cm x 12cm (7 x 5 inches) baking dish
    » Bake in 160°C or 320°F for 35-40 minutes
    » Must pour cold syrup on hot cake for best results.

    Just wanted to share that I saw this cake recipe today, and my 7 yr old daughter made this cake, I couldn't believe, it was tastier than the Maida cake. She was so elated to see her first ever cake coming like this. Thank you for the recipe😊😊😊😊😊
