Drinking anti-inflammatory smoothies can offer several health benefits due to the presence of ingredients known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Here are some reasons why incorporating these smoothies into your routine can be beneficial:

Reduction of Inflammation:
Anti-inflammatory smoothies typically include ingredients like turmeric, ginger, berries, and leafy greens, which contain compounds known for their ability to reduce inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is linked to various health issues, including cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, and autoimmune disorders. Consuming foods with anti-inflammatory properties may help mitigate these risks.

Joint Health:
Many fruits and vegetables used in anti-inflammatory smoothies, such as berries and leafy greens, are rich in antioxidants and nutrients that support joint health. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with conditions like arthritis, where inflammation in the joints is a common concern.

Support for Digestive Health:
Certain ingredients like ginger can contribute to better digestion and alleviate digestive discomfort. A healthy digestive system is closely linked to overall well-being, and by including ingredients that soothe the digestive tract, anti-inflammatory smoothies may promote gastrointestinal health.

Antioxidant Protection:
Many ingredients in anti-inflammatory smoothies, such as berries and leafy greens, are packed with antioxidants. Antioxidants help combat oxidative stress and free radicals in the body, which can contribute to inflammation and various chronic diseases.

Balanced Blood Sugar Levels:
Certain fruits and vegetables in anti-inflammatory smoothies have a low glycemic index, meaning they have a minimal impact on blood sugar levels. Maintaining balanced blood sugar levels is crucial for overall health and can be particularly beneficial for individuals with diabetes or those at risk of developing the condition.

  1. Thank you Annette I was wondering if these smoothies will help with inflammation in intestines? I am diagnosed with Crohn’s and want to use food more than medicines these smoothies would be a huge benefit when in a flare. ❤

  2. PS – on the subject of breast cancer, I’m going to also look into your Cancer Course!! I’ve just had a lumpectomy & don’t want to do the hormone blocker & radiation but rather go forward with good lifestyle changes & nutrition!! I appreciate all you teach us!❤

  3. Hi Annette! Thank you for these awesome recipes!! 😃👏🏻. I want to make and start drinking every one of them!!
I looked in the show transcript and clicked on the recipes link but can’t find the PDF with these recipes?😅
Also, I’m going to check out the protein powder you mention & the collagen. I bought some vegan protein powders by Vedge Nutrition and I’m wondering if you feel they would be safe to consume without causing risk of hormone fed breast cancer? I so want to include these protein powders in these smoothies but nervous on if that could be risky? Thank you for any advice you’re willing to give!!❤

  4. I have never found a protein powder unsweetened. They all have flavoring which is processed sugar. I use plain. Stevia is not on my approved list, either. I have found Garden of Eden so far yo be acceptable. Not great in taste as it is plain.
