(This is the only time I've seen someone actually grate ginger parallel… So I'm assuming perpendicular is the actual accurate way…. But who knows 🤷♂️)

she says "perpendicular" but it looks like it's laying parallel and she did say that the fibers run from top to bottom so the fibers themselves would be parallel to the length of the grater… well, anyway at least there's a a video so i can see she's doing it the long way and not the across the narrow way..
