Adaptogens are having a big moment in beauty right now. Not only in skincare but also supplements. This is definitely not new to me as I grew up drinking medicinal soups whenever I was stressed or depleted from studying, being over-worked or over-playing. Our skin is affected by the way our bodies react to our environment -whether it’s pressure, demands of our modern lifestyle, or climate. I explain in this video how adaptogens can help our inner well-being which always helps our skin. I’m happy that I can still incorporate adaptogens into my diet easily in my daily tea, latte or smoothie. I’m sharing with you my favourite, simple recipes that are so good and you won’t detect any medicinal taste!

Coffee Mushroom Nutella Latte
1/3 serving hot water,
1 packet Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee
Spoonful of Hazelnut-Chocolate Spread (Nutella) to taste
2/3 serving your choice of non-dairy milk substitute – heated
– Oatly Oat Milk Original
Couple drops of Vanilla Essence

Matcha Mushroom Hemp Smoothie
1 Frozen Banana
1/2 to 1 tbs Four Sigmatic Mushroom Matcha mix
2/3 your choice of non-dairy milk substitute
1/2 to 1 TBS Hemp Seeds
Liquid Stevia to taste
Couple drops of Vanilla Essence (optional)

Ginger Turmeric Lemon Antioxidant Tea
2 inches of sliced Ginger
Spoonful of Turmeric
Pinch of Cayenne
2 sticks of Cinnamon
Lemon slices
Raw Honey to taste

  2. I like people start to think about healthy lifestyle, but healing herb tea and healing mushrooms better and even herbs can give boost, energy, many benefits. I like to drink Hemp tea, very useful. Main parameter is THC up to 0.2% is legal, has no high BUT useful healing herb, it been used by our ancients to be healthy.

  3. Hi lovely i dont know if you will read this but i want to say thank you for your advice you told me! I commented last year about having bad acne and you told me about matcha! it worked wondsrs and helped my anxiety! Actually i cant have coffee because I go crazy and with Matcha it contains something that makes people calm but alert. Also here is what helps that helped me:

    Fixing my gut skin connection and taking:
    Probiotics
    Iron
    Omega3
    Niacinimide and Zinc
    Moisturising and keeping my room cool.

    Also not stressing from my uni degree.

  4. Hi Renee, I'm sure you get many messages on here, but if you wouldn't mind commenting or making a video about your thoughts on the skincare line at The Body Shop I would appreciate it so much! I have a gift card for there and am curious just how "good" they claim their products are for your skin. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews and would appreciate if you could get back to me! Preferably their masks, serums, face moisturizers, toners, face mists, etc.

  5. As a slight coffee snob, the Four Sigmatic powdered coffees are good … for a powdered coffee (i.e. still not great). Just putting this out there because I know I was hoping that it'd somehow taste like a great cup of coffee! Their ground coffee tasted like normal coffee so I'd personally go for that over the powdered if you're someone who likes coffee

  6. Awesome! Thanks to you I started drinking matcha tea on a regular basis and I'm very happy with the results! And recently I found out that Carob powder is a great substitute for cocoa with similar qualities to matcha!

  7. Is there any way you could make a video showing us a skincare routine with only products that are safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding? I just found out I'm pregnant and have been so scared to wear makeup or use many of my skincare products, so my hormonal acne has been driving me crazy and I'm at my wits end! Please help!

  9. Hi Renee, big fan of ur channel and I love the thoroughness of ur videos! I wanted to share something about turmeric – it can only be utilized by ur body when there is also piperine mixed with it (which comes from peppercorns), so u may want to add whole black peppercorns into ur lovely tea recipe! 🙂

  10. fortunately here in Portugal there's a cheaper brand for oat milk and you can even add water to a little portion due to its concentrated flavour if taken as it is out of the package.
