This recipe yields 16 pcs buns. Pan size is 8.5×8.5 square pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 18-20 minutes or until lightly brown. Baking time may vary depending on your oven specifications. I have a conventional oven that heat rises from the bottom.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 tbsp sugar 10g
2 tsp active dry yeast 6g
1 cup milk 237ml (please use warm milk, evap, or fresh or UHT milk)
½ cup unsalted butter (110g)
1 large egg
3½ cup all purpose flour (437g)
¼ cup sugar (50g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
2 tbsp oil for bowl
Eggwash
1 egg and 1 tbsp milk

I made the dumbest mistake ever…i forgot to add oil on my bowl before putting the dough so that it can rise…and i think it will be really sticky after 1 hour😭🤭

I cooked mine in an airfryer and they came out a bit harder while still being soft inside.
I also had only salted butter and it came out a bit salty and now idk what to do

Making bread is not easy. I have a bread machine but its not really good
I tried this recipe two hours ago, followed the ingredients as stated but why does my bun taste more like biscuits. Its looks hard but its when I tried it was soft, besides that It doubled in size. I forgot and kneaded the first time for 10 mins after I mixed all the ingredients. Then later I kneaded again for second proofing. It increased in size and later after I made the rolls it rises but when I baked it it went flat. What is wrong. Could u please advise. This is the fourth time baking bread but all was a disaster

I am completely new making bread. I followed another recipe with olive oil, no butter, no eggs. The bread came okay but the flavor was not there; it was bland, insipid. I wonder why somebody would prefer oil instead of butter. And no eggs? why? because of calories maybe?

Sorry, but its not practical in city life. it just takes too much time and resources for a 2$ bread from store. Unless anyone has nothing better to do, it is not worth it.
