Chicken Masala using Shan masala mix

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken.
1 pack Shan chicken masala mix.
1 tbsp fresh ginger.
1 cup yogurt.
Fresh cilantro.
Green chili.
Recipe: 
Sauté the onion until its golden brown. Take it out and put it aside. Add 3 tbsp of Shan chicken masala in yogurt and mix well. Add chicken to a pan and yogurt. Add ginger. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes. Than fry the chicken for 7-10 minutes. Add fried onion and 1 cup of water cove and cook 5-7 minuets. Add fresh cilantro and enjoy.

  1. These blends are pretty good. Normally not a fan of readymade blends, but shan is pretty good. Great that you did not use the whole sacket of spices like shan normally encourage. I did that once with a korma and the whole family were puffing like dragons after one bite of chicken.

  2. I mixed the whole packet in with about a cupful of yoghurt and added to gently frying chicken, then added a cupful of water and cooked for 30 minutes, and added three chopped fried onions afterward. Altogether it took forty minutes and my friend, who is Indian, said it tasted just like her mother's cooking.
