  1. Can ATK do an equipment review of vegetable choppers like the Vidalia Chop Wizard and the Fullstar Cutter? I'm getting better speed with my chef knife, but chopping is still taking way too long when I meal prep, and these choppers are very tempting. I'm just not sure any of them are functional enough to be worth it.

  2. Sharp knife. That’s it. Cut through to seed, dividing into 4 sections; grab and twist, separating 1/2 from seed; whack knife edge into seed & twist, separating other half; then simply peel back skin from each quarter section. Easy, no mess. No need to scoop with a spoon, either.

  3. All you need is a sharp table knife. You don't even need a spoon. Halve the avocado, whack the stone gently with the knife and twist it out. Hold the half in you hand and use the knife to slice the avocado while it's still in the skin. Run the knife around the edge, and all your neat slices will scoop out with a gentle squeeze from below.

    But it only does one of them well. Don't waste your money; as Lisa says, all you really need is a chef's knife.

  5. Actually you don't need any tools. Just place your plate on the floor about 5 inches from a wall. Then throw a ripe avocado at no less than 60 mph at the wall 3 feet above the plate. With practice the pit will fly to the trash bin, the peal will land on the floor, and the good stuff will hit the plate in nice bite size chunks.
