Get the FREE recipe for Cheesy Baked Pasta With Sausage and Ricotta:
This recipe from Melissa Clark is like a cross between baked ziti and sausage lasagna. It’s rich with ricotta and crushed tomatoes, topped with mozzarella, and cooks entirely in one pan, including the pasta. The Italian sausage adds depth to the sauce, but vegetarians can leave it out or use their favorite plant-based sausage.

Great tip with the pot holder on the handle. I've destroyed my hand on a hot pan before.
Yup
Not a fan of baked ricotta… it gets curdled. I would add mascarpone instead for creaminess.
Be still my beating heart: Melissa Clark cooking meat. My day is made and I will be making this ASAP. Thanks from a happy NYT Cooking subscriber.
This recipe is a winner, I made it today and it turned out wonderful. I also can’t wait to cook more from your one pot meals cook book. Thank you Melissa!
I love recipes like this! And love Melissa! Thanks for another great idea!
I love her cooking attitude. I wish I could be a taste-tester.
I love how everyone is ultimately on a quest to make hamburger helper…. This time with… sausage!
To good diliosus recipe ❤❤❤
Best wishes for
Everyone wake up! Melissa’s back!
So let me get this right
She's eats sausage defying Jewish religious law AND is a Zionist. No clear example of white-zionazi supremacy
Here's what I'm going to do to make it my own, add a combo of garlic, fennel fronds, chopped basil, spinach, fennel pollen etc to the ricotta. The green things will taste good and look nice.
You are so delightful! I wish this video was longer I loved hearing you chat! ☺️☺️
Wagon wheels are giving nostalgic fun and they're a great pasta delivery shape for saucy, meaty, cheesy yumminess. 🤠
I made this using impossible sausage for Christmas to keep it vegetarian. Delicious!
Could roasted red bell peppers be incorporated into this recipe?
this lady is delightful.
melissas the best🖤
Potholder tip is great. And this looks easy and delicious.
If you wanted to add spinach when would it go in?
i've made something like this for decades…i call it "Lazy Lasagna"
I always admire professional cooks who manage to stay fit and slim. Ever since I discovered my passion for baking I need to work so hard to stay fit, haha. And Melissa looks great.
Where's the closed captioning!?
The best pasta shape is lumache
This looks stupid easy and stupid good. I'd trade the whole tomatoes out for pasta sauce, but I'm "allergic". The closer something made with tomatoes looks like actual tomatoes, the worse and more quickly I react to it. It's just mouth sores, but it's still pretty sucky.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
