Enjoying homemade bread doesn’t mean slaving away in the kitchen for hours. With my tried and true SIMPLE dough recipe, you’ll have two delicious loaves of crusty and chewy artisan bread on your table with just 5 minutes of work.
What’s even better, this dough will store perfectly in the refrigerator for up to 14 days, so make this dough up ahead of time and have a hot fresh loaf of bread on the table in about an hour!
No dutch oven? No problem! Though I tend to use my dutch oven for this recipe, I have a special trick that will still yield a nice crust with that perfectly crunchy chew.

Thanks for watching! Have tried this recipe or method before?
I LOVED this recipe. It’s so easy and tasty. I’m not able to believe that I can make my own delicious bread AND have dough at hand in my fridge. I also loved some of the tips that made it relatable and simple to gain confidence in baking bread. My fave was the tip for knowing if the water temp is good for adding to your yeast. Thanks for sharing!
it would be awesome if you and others, would say how hot you have the oven when you say the time it is supposed to be in it.
Ekelhaft, die offenen Haare über der Teigschüssel.
Do you have a video on the cinnamon rolls you were mentioning in this recipe?
hi i have made this bread today but how do you store fresh home made bread please
What brand is your large covered mixing bowl?
Trying Aluminum tent over in the oven…covered glass Pyrex dish
If i do not have oven safe lid, can i use tin foil?
👌 very nice
awesome girl
It looks delicious!
If I want to make this bread and use freshly milled flour, what kind of wheat berry do you recommend? Thank you!
2 slices of your bread a little Brickstone no salt butter and a big cup of creamy sweet coffee 😋 wow I am good to go delicious thank 😋
I love this easy bread recipe, thanks for sharing, I bought 2small packs of yeast, seeing this recipe i definitely will try it I love fresh bread and rolls, 👑 ❤️ 😊 🙏
What about sugar? Usually 1 part salt, 2 parts sugar.
I think your bread look awesome, but I’ve seen people doing this between 1 hr for raising of the dough, and right into the oven with the same results. Crunchy outside and completely cooked inside. Why the difference of timing if the result is the same?
Our entire family has celiac disease. Unfortunately this will not work for us. I am sure it will help a great many people without that issue though.
Adding honey would be tasty
Can you use this dough in a loaf pan ?
20 min video for 5 min bread
I might try this…neither my Mom nor I have been able to get bread to rise (that is, stay risen) in the last 20 years or so…not sure what happened…it just rises and then flattens, no matter which recipe or ingredients, or even using the exact same recipe that used to work! Mom has pretty much given up but I will give this a try.
You gotta do something about the sound girl, I could hardly understand anything you said. And that's not quick. You can't make bread quickly, the soul is in the time.
what kind of plastic bowl is that? and what size? Thank You. I want one! 🙂
Wait…she said 30 min before you want bread but it has to rise 2-3 hours and then chill it for 8 hrs.
Can you use whole wheat (hard red or hard white) instead of all purpose flour? I prefer to leave the whole wheat berry (freshly milled). Please advise!! This bread looks amazing and I would love to try it for hamburger and hot dog buns!
That looks sooooo good!!!!
I liked all the comments, I thought they were quite funny. Melissa had me at 30 minutes too…I like everything about this bread! Store up to 14 days in the fridge and bake in 30 minutes…those are really great benefits! Thanks for a great video Melissa!
I’ve always been so intimidated by the bread making process. I made this bread, it was simple, and is absolutely delicious!!! Thank you thank you!
You are sweet, and the bread must taste great.
Your boyfriend must be really happy.
Thank you for your video.
Why does every bread out there take half a day to make except pumpkin bread
how about gluten-free bread?
So you whoooped up a bread like 30 minutes before you were ready to eat but it took you two days before the dough was ready 🤣
This is a great recipe for people who can't eat eggs or sugar. I'm going to pass it along to all my friends. Thank you.
What is bread flour? I’ve never seen it. Also I don’t get very much rise with normal yeast.
Need to give this a try.
I make "traditional" bread but it uses eggs and butter. I'm going to try this as it looks great! I love bread with a good crust.
hows chuck
My wife made her first Sour dough bread the crust came out great but the inside was too dense and heavy, whats the problem? No holes.
I have the exact same stove. I also love making bread. I have an Ankrusrum mixer as well as a kitchenaid. I can't wait to make this bread.
