I do both
The way you did, but neither is wrong. The only people that are wrong are those that don't season.
I wasn't even aware that some people only seasoned the outside. I did not grow up in the kitchen attached to anyone's hip, but when I learned how to cook, it made sense to me to season the meat first and then form the patties. This tracks.
I go with the classic: Salt, Pepper, Garlic (powder)
It's like you always say, 'do it the way you like'.
If you make smash burgers, then seasoning the outside seems enough. I think if you're making regular burgers, bigger burgers, it's best to season inside to get the whole burger patty flavored.
OH YEAAAH bbqpb frome france !
when i make burgers i put in diced onions, pickled jalapenos, an egg, worschester sauce, bread crumbs, and SPG. I then season the top before cooking with McCormick Roasted Garlic and herb
Mix seasoning in and when cooking get a nice layer on each side poof presto esquisito
I've done both, i don't think there's a wrong way. I usually do outside these days but that's up to the pit master and it's all good
Cool🎉🎉🎉🎉
Inside for me. Seasoning can fall off….. not out.
Thank you for posting this 👍🇺🇸👍

I’m a vegetarian and love this guy,sir if you could find your way to congress life would be great
I'm a season the outside kind of guy, and the wife likes to season inside with onion soup mix. When it comes time for burgers, I'm the one cooking, because I do not like onion soup mix burgers.
