Been doing your brine for 6 years now man.. been a hit every year for friends and family, thank you very much bro
What are they on?
can i use this to brine chicken?
That turkey isn't juicy, it's waterlogged.
There IS a difference…….
You don't even post your two cook temperatures-DEWD!!!!!!
Brining doesn't do ANYTHING for a moist bird.
It's all in the time and temperature and also a few hacks that most people don't know about.
For example, my turkey is self-basting- I don't have to open the oven door to pour liquid on it every 20 minutes.
So turns out I'm cooking Thanksgiving at another house, too. So! Brining tomorrow, too!
Back again! It's turkey time! Just swinging by for the recipe.
I would make my brine with a lot of Knorr chicken stock cubes.
Here we go again! It's gonna be a gooder! Every bird I cook goes through this ringer 👌
I use Jamie's recipe for years now and trust me it never fails!!
So, do you still do "The Ultimate Turkey" on top of that? (separate skin, put butter ect.) Also, is it kosher salt or reg. salt? Thanks 🙂
The link to the recipe is dead now.
This brine was excellent today. Happy Thanksgiving! Will be a staple for my turkey from here on out.

Awseome man!!Best Turkey ever!!!So juicy!!When you cook Tomahawk Ribeye Steak on BBQ??
Brining my bird right now! Awesome video, me and my sons actually answered 'Yes'!!!! Haha!
how long do you roast the bird and at what temperature
I did this last year and it was awesome! Doing it again this year.
Always brine legs up
That is an awesome shirt! Where did you get that?
Why don’t you just say 1/2 cup of sugar?
Did anyone try this recipe? If so what were the results
I made this for Yule dinner! It turned out excellent! The turkey sat in the brine for 16 or so hours, and this added way more flavour than I thought it would. It was excellent! Thanks!
Was soooo delicious!!! This brine is excellent y'all! I did everything except add the red chilis – only because I forgot and it still was the best turkey I ever tasted! Please try this brine! You won't disappointed !
Are you related to Billy the Exterminator?
A half cup is the same as 8 tablespoons.
This will be my 3rd year doing this brine and I'll probably do it until the day I die it's sooo good, everyone who's been over to have it says it's the best turkey they've ever had.
you shouldn't put the turkey in the brine feet first. Half of the breast was sticking out of the brine.
Could someone help me out last year i found a website that shows like a formula for brine so you can make your own well i lost the website and can't find it. it was something like 2 gallons of water, 2 cups of salt 1 cup of savory. showed the weight of the bird and how long to cook what type of ingredients you should and shouldn't mix together.
OTT Merchant Banker.
what temperature and time do you recommend for turkey?
I made my first turkey the other day using the brine and the turkey came out awesome. Better than all the turkeys I have had growing up with my family. Like I said it was my first turkey I have cook and I'm not the best cook. I would have to say it was the brine. If any one has any doubt about this just do it and you will be happy you did. Just a side note let the turkey stand for 30 min then cut into it.
love love the video:) so much fun really:)
Would this method of brining work if I was hoping to fry the turkey?
Best Turkey recipe EVER!!!! I DID this last year and gonna DO it AGAIN!!!
@DJBBQ – sorry if i missed it, but how many pounds was your turkey??
You Made a Fantastic Brine full of Flavors! Thank you for sharing it!
DJ…you are awesome to watch..thanks for the brine recipe! :+)
after you soak it in that concoction, do you boil it or you take the turkey out and roast it? I'm sorry that I sounded like a noob but I really don't know what a brine is. T^T
That guy is fucking nuts 3:17 wtf…
I find placing the turkey in the brine breast side down works better. Then you only have a bit of the back and the tips of the drumsticks not completely submerged.
Oh I'm definitely gonna try this!!!!
Oh I'm definitely gonna try this!!!!!😱😱😱
Tried this brine recipe & it delivered as promised – thank you!!
Do I need to rinse the bird before I cook it?
Hey dj bqq so I just made this brine and it taste salty. Is that how it's suppose to taste?
Thanks DJ BBQ! Should I be rinsing this brine off at some point?
