How do you recalibrate the thermometer?
I'm confused. This video shows you how to check if your thermometer needs to be calibrated. I don't see the part that shows "how to calibrate". Am I missing something?
This is so helpful. I bought one of these recently & attempted to recalibrate it myself to improve it but the instructions were very vague & I ended up with weird readings when I tried to use it while cooking. Now I understand the process. Thanks so much!
I cannot smell nor taste most food. Therefore, it can be difficult to know when something is done. Because you teach using thermometers, you have accomplished a small miracle, because now I have something that is mistake proof and tells me without a doubt that something is done. Thank you so much!
Thanks for telling me to read the instructions I do not have. I had already figured out that ice water is 32 degrees, thanks for nuttin.
I've always trusted America's Test kitchen. I bought a Japanese knife and learned how to cook bacon "The proper way" but this video is a crock. I have a digital from Javelin Tools and it reads 10 degrees off on the hot and the cold side. This video named "How to Calibrate Your Digital Instant-Read Thermometer" does not teach calibration…
Bruh. 😐 Y’all ain’t show how to do nothing! Wtf 🙃
Useless
did not complete the instructions it only showed how to test for accuracy
This is just showing how to test the accuracy, not actually calibrating.
My $20 Chinese made thermometer is as accurate as any $80+ kitchen snob-appeal thermometer.
Well that was useless.
you failed to do the one thing the title said you would do
get bent
Deceptive Video Description, this video stinks.
The video does not accomplish what the title denotes. This only shows how to test for accuracy.

Great informational video on testing thermometers
The manufacture instructions would have covered all of this and more if you read them. Also many are not adjustable, so make sure to take note of this when purchasing a thermometer.
… Must be at 32 degrees. Video shows thermometer at 35 degrees. 😣
Although your average ice water will be close to 32°F, it will probably not be exactly 32°F because of minerals and other impurities in the water. If you truly want to accurately test your thermometer, you should use ice made from distilled water and put the ice in a glass of liquid distilled water, then insert your thermometer's probe.
At my house the ice would be mostly melted in 3 minutes. Should I put the glass in the refrigerator?
how to calibrate "do it yourself" basically sums this video
How to know if your instant-read thermometer reads accurately. That's this title..
This is a great how to test an instant read thermometer. Hope you produce a real calibration video soon.
Hello.
She showed me something I didn't know, but I don't have one of those thermometer's yet in my kitchen.
Click bait. I have that exact thermometer. She should have showed how to fix that one at least. Useless vid
