No stuff artichokes and steam them. They are like designed perfectly to be stuffed. Each leaf it's own little 🥄.
Great info on prepping for roasting. What about other cooking methods like steaming?
To much work for me.
This is a great example of "how did we even start eating this stuff?". Get this dinosaur looking plant, get rid of the top, bottom, outside and inside, soak it in acid, heat it… Now it's edible! Dafuq….
PLEEEEEZZZE——-Get rid of the loud music! I’m beginning to hate this channel.
They didn't even mention that the stem can be eaten, just peel it and cook it.
Artichoke leaves in stock? Really?
Never had them like this only stuffed or steamed. Can the whole leaf be eaten?
But how do I get my partner to eat it?
This is overdoing it in my opinion. You can just trim the end of the stem and steam them and they are amazing. No need to grill or fry or do anything fancy to them. It’s the dipping sauce that makes an artichoke delicious, not the cooking process. Would you grill crab legs??? Maybe you would, idk…
Those aren’t artichoke hearts at the end. The heart is just the ovary and embryos, not the sepals.
Could you use a grapefruit spoon? And how much ahead of time can you prep and put into lemon water?
I have only eaten them once, but loved the taste and was so delicious.
It may choke Artie but it ain't gonna choke Stymie.
Great – now just show how to eat them. I've never actually seen anyone eat those tough leaves. I've seen people pull them through their teeth. Does that mean they are inedible? Do I squeeze the gunk out of the leaves to eat it? I know I like artichoke hearts in a dip but they come from a jar and are soft. NO ONE EVER Shows hot to eat them!!!
Pardon my ignorance, but how does one eat them when prepared this way?
Why did someone dislike this video? 😂
