While I have had mine maybe 2 weeks less than you, I am going to try the snake method in the charcoal basket to see how long it will burn at a decent temp and let you know. I had the fire mgmt basket on my LSG offset and I know I could control the fire and temps much easier if the wood was 6-7 inches long and 3-4 inches in diameter. The cooks are great in that the temps from the top to bottom grates make it real easy. Thx for the video and a wagyu brisket is next on my menu.
It came down to this pit and the smokeslinger full size for me. Ultimately the baffle plates and the 1/4” steel won me over with the full size smoke slinger but direct heat bbq is just as good as any low and slow indirect heat cooking. Total love these cookers.

Where are you in Ontario??….also, if I was interested in the LSG adjustable Grill featured in this video, and in the world of Tariffs, is it reasonable to think I could get one from the US….did you get yours shipped from the US or were you able to find a Canadian distributor? What do you use to store your bge accessories?
We love to see how the dual split then charcoal idea would work. Being able to get several hours of sleep at a time on overnight smoke would be ideal.
Im interested in everything you can do on this, lol. But low and slow set and forget it test would definitely be a good video and was interested in cooking steaks on it.
Hi! Great video. Can you tell me if I understood the cooking of the ribs correctly? You bring them in the grill to an internal temperature of 155F-160F, and then add butter and sugar, wrap them in foil and keep them in the oven overnight or until serving to guests. Don't the ribs get into the grill anymore? Are they cooked in foil in the oven and that's it?

Seems like you could put a baking sheet below the meat for easier cleanup without any negative consequences because all the smoke is rolling over the meat from the top instead of anything from the bottom (like a WSM or a vertical smoker).
I definitely want to know more about this grill.

It looks like you could slip the charcoal basket over the coals of your wood splits. I don't think you'd have to move food around if you could just slip it over.

Can you review it and discuss the cleaning? It looks like it could be a nightmare to clean out the charcoal and wood, but maybe they created an easy way to do it.
Loved the video and the testing. Would really like to see one in the future using the charcoal basket for a longer cook method vs splits. I’m very interested in the multiple cook methods this can achieve. It’s the same reason I went with a kamado Joe and now I’m wanting more cooking space.
