Thank you.
is this a freshness thing
or an actual problem
The more you know👌🏽
It's activated by heat.
Best cooking channel ever.
Hands down.
Timely reminder. I recently reached for my baking powder. It's "best by" date was over two years ago! Yikes! 😂
I would NOT recommend composting. The baking soda in it can throw off the ph of the pile. Also not good for the microbes 🦠
Great info. I had no idea
Eventually it turns into faking powder
Thanks for the tip.👍
❤Thank you❤
I don't bake often my method is that regardless of how much I have four times a year I just buy a new can and get rid of the old. Its not worth ruining a batch of muffins or a lovely cake.
👿💪GOOD INFO. THANK'S..
Good information. After a couple of spectacular fails, I learned to pay attention to the best by date, but it's good to know I can test it.
But that being the case, I wish they would sell it in smaller containers, since I'm only an occasional baker these days. It seems a shame to waste it.
Did no one learn this in high school science class?
Great to know you can test it, thank you!
I was just wondering this today 😂👍
He said 6 to 12 years, right?…. RIGHT?!?
if you put in the freezer after opening it. does that extend the life?
Need someone new for the voice over.
Thank you! I just tested mine and it's good.
Actually, I go by the date that is printed on my can and if it's past the date, I throw it away and go get me a new one. I don't physically test it. I don't trust it past the use by date. But good information to know if people want to test their baking powder and can't find the date on the can or box.
Great tip. I've done this before and it works.
Thanks I was just thinking about this a few days ago ❣️
That’s a great tip! Thanks
I didn’t know you could test to see if it was still good. How handy! Thanks for the tip. 😊
