Don't use plastics cutting board, it will add microplastics in your food.
Don't use wood cutting board, bacteria from meats and other food that used on top if it will inserts into the board and it'll be hard to clean it.
Don't use glass cutting board, because of this.
I won't eat then
I was at someones home once where all they had was a glass cutting board. It's the worst feeling against the knive.
I use glass cutting boards as trivets.
Larchwood!
I didnt even know they made glass cutting boards
Don’t use plastic either.
Glass cutting boards are the best. They don't have micro plastics and are dishwasher safe. I sharpen my knife before each use, and put a towel under the board to prevent slipping.
they r great for butter knife only and making cookies
Thanks, mom
This goes well with my very strict "no glass in the kitchen" rule
You should never buy a dough/pasta glass board from Pyrex and use it as a cutting board, that’s just dumb. The boards are meant for rolling out.
I love my wood cutting board
I had a glass cutting board that was textured. Little ridges going one way, then the other in a checkerboard pattern.
It was created in hell, I’m sure.
What about. A plastic board? Are they good?
Who would even consider using a glass cutting board. I haven't even heard they were making cutting boards out of glass until now.
Thanks for sharing
So just use them to look trendy?
I'm stunned people still use these. In over two decades in restaurants, I've never seen one in a working kitchen.
It doesn't 'destroy' the knife. Please stop using that patently false word. Take a steel honing rod to it, suddenly knife is "sharp" again.
Tell me you don't know a damn thing about what's happening here.
Bamboo either. Same reason.
I have a small one for Kneeding bread/rolls on
I told my sister that she doesn't care,
Any knife she's used has been destroyed
Pyrex we like your products why are you trying to harm your customers opinion of you.
I had a glass cutting board in the 1980s. At the time I also had knives that “never need sharpening.” Cutting on a glass board even feels wrong tactilely; almost like nails on a chalkboard. I eventually learned better about cutting boards and knives that “can never be sharpened.”
Use a diamond knife instead😊
Things will scratch and damage the glass cutting boards as well. They don't hold up well.
I was given them as a gift with gawd awful floral designs. I forget what we used them for. Useless!
the first time i saw a glass cutting board was in a documentary about marina abramovic. the glimpse of a glass cutting board in her kitchen disturbed me so much that i blacked out for the rest of the film, i don’t remember a single thing that happened after that
One would think Pyrex has enough money without introducing a product like that
