I want to eat cold oysters not warm or hot
This is why you are in a "test kitchen", not an actual professional kitchen.
That you think cooked oysters are even remotely similar to raw, tells us all you don't understand what you are posting about.
I will never understand the appeal of eating sea loogies.
One oyster to another: go shuck yourself
Serve them with WHAT?!? <shudders in south Louisiana >
Yummmmmmm, and some shredded apple on top with bits of ginger and some Tobasco!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Learned that trick in the 60’s visiting my Uncle that owned a restaurant in Florida.
the American solution haha.
“If cutting sashimi for all your guests is too time consuming just throw the salmon as a whole on the grill”
Where’s the cocktail sauce? 🤔
You just suck at shucking. If you want them easier to open steam them a little before
So cook them. Ok…
So instead of cold snot, you can now have hot snot.
If you don't have a grill, put some sheet metal over a fire, then the oysters, then a wet burlap sack. It's the original oyster roast!
Prior to shucking
Ams tips the liquids into a bowl
Then
Add the liquid back in after the shells are laid out on a plate
I used to bring oysters to small parties just to throw some on a smoker or grill. Excellent technique
Garlic salt is great on them at this point…
Growing up my family would put them in the campfire and serve with frank hot sauce.
Are they fully cooked or partially cooked?
i prefer smoked.
