– Please use red onions. In India we only have red onions and it adds more flavor than yellow
– Greek yogurt is perfectly fine for this

Man that's a fair amount in that recipe. I didn't have a life changing quality butter chicken available to me locally, I'd probably consider trying to do it. But this place's Butter Chicken has been my 1 fav for well over 25 years now and I keep trying to other butter chicken in my travels, but none can beat this joint (or their sister venues). Also, you lost me a bit with the coriander, it's my kryptonite!
If you don’t want it to be fancy. Cook the meat in pan, take it out after it’s done. Same pan put in
onions
garlic
ginger
tomatoes
Salt
Don’t worry about blending it in blender.
Now the magic sauce – tomato paste and whip cream.
That’s it. Garnish it will green peas and cilantro.
Yeah, i'll be the one to say it… the cupboard opening is a forever favourite of mine, back to days gone by….. i remember the content and style back then, and I see it at its latest, actually feel good about coming along as a viewer during the rise of popularity to where it is now.
