simplicity at its finest. I had this on the stress of Sicily, I could smell it from blocks away I followed my nose to 3 guys grilling outside a butcher shop and it didn’t disappoint.

Oh my god, that pork belly looks so much like bacon when you slice it thin
Yummmm!!!
So cool! I'm from Sicily and one delicacy I'm always looking forward in barbecues is liver+spring onions wrapped in caul fat and grilled
Hell yeah surf curse
So… bacon
wait until he finds out about jalapeno poppers
That's the heart of Italian food. Simple is delicious
You get that in half the izakaya's in Japan.
Is this what bacon is? Just pork belly??
No Midwest ham roll up, but I bet it’s tasty
you should do collab with lionfield
looks like something I had at an Izakaya in Japan – yummy :3
As I understand it, most "true" Italian cooking is supposed to simple and fresh. Sicilian cooking, I'd imagine, shares the same principle. It's not why I use a lot of fresh ingredience in my own (diabetic controlling my type 2 with diet) but I can't say it wasn't a partial influence. This looks simple and tasty for something easy on the go as well. Refreshing
With how much Koreans love pork belly and green onions I'm surprised i haven't seen Koreans do this.
Yet another dish that proves how much Sicilian cooking you can do with Japanese ingredients
Any food cooked in Italy is good.
We do the same but use fresh asparagus spears ❤️
It is called "Mangia e bevi" in Palermo, which means "Eat and drink" because when you bite it you have the crunchy pork belly (Eat) and the watery cooked onion (drink)
Season the bacon with salt?! 😂
Uncle Andy, what did you do with the skin?
Interesting. Korean bbq pork belly ALWAYS served with spring onion salad. Some combos are just international in nature.
