  1. This is an excellent recipe, I'm cooking this again after making a double batch for a big birthday party. It has so much flavour. Tip: Boneless leg worked just as well as the shoulder in the slow cooker. Thanks for all the hard work Nagi.

  2. Oh this looks so dang good.
I'm in India and literally standing on the other side of the globe, from where you are. I wish I could tunnel through the Earth to get to your kitchen on the other side. 💞

  3. Nope. Slow cook it and then cook it in oil BEFORE shredding it or your meat will be stringy and dry. This is not how we do it. Cook it in oil and then pull the pork and it will be crispy the right places and still very tender.

  4. Awesome recipe – Thank you! One added option that doesn't require submerging the meat in lard but gives it some big flavour is throwing bacon fat [3-400 ml] on a large shoulder. I keep the bacon fat for cooking…just put'n it out there as something to consider…will certainly help with that frying at the end 🙂

  5. Finally, a crockpot recipe that actually turns out super tasty, sooo much flavour! I've tried loads of top-rated recipes over the years, and they've all been…bland? This one is a keeper, thank you so much for sharing – we've made it 3x already and it might be our go-to Xmas main course from now on. I'll try it with lamb as well.
