Pork Chops with Caramelized Apple and Onion This fall dish is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The delicious, caramelized apple and onions are the perfect topping for any meat dish, but pairs so well with seared pork chops, and is a million times better than applesauce. The caramelized apples and onions are so easy to make. I sauté the onions in a cast iron pan on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Then add in the chopped apples with ½ tsp cinnamon, ¼ tsp cardamom, ½ nutmeg, and ½ tsp salt. Let them sauté until they become soft, and the apples start to get a little mushy, about 10 minutes. Then I stir in ⅓ cup of red wine and 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce and cover them on medium-low for about 10 minutes, occasionally stirring them. Finally, I add a pat of butter and set it aside to cool. My favorite combination of flavors is sweet and savory. It is the perfect flavor combo for Fall and I guarantee you’ll love it!

Can't eat pork? Substitute chicken breast. 💕🌞🌵😷
This recipe is perfect. It also reminds me of Cartoon Network’s Apple & Onion.
Why are pigs the most hated? 🥺🥺🥺
Rookie mistake by adding pepper to the pork chop before frying
🤭When I read the title. I instantly thought of the character Peter from the Brady Bunch saying,” Pork Chops and Apple Sauce.”
Other than that! I never knew that was a thing. I haven’t ever been served that. Nor have I ever known anyone else that has.
As I JUST told my daughter, always be open to learning new (positive of course) things!
Thanks for sharing.
